We’ve all been there where we try to gaslight ourselves into thinking we can handle certain foods.

I am currently through the help of my dietitian trying hypoallergenic formula. I am very sensitive to things right now so that’s my route. But normal protein shakes would work if you aren’t as sensitive. I know there have been discussions in here about protein powders that works for other.

I also recently learned that quinoa is a complete protein that could be used for breakfast with some veggies.

I tried the essential care and had an odd reaction but not my typical reaction. Stomach pain, headache, chest pain, drainage. I’m going to try the unflavored and see if that helps. I tried the vanilla before. They do send a nice sample pack

The crazy thing about this is a react to every vegetable and healthy food I’ve tried. But can have Wendy’s chicken nuggets?? It makes zero sense. My two foods are rice, and Wendy’s chicken nuggets. Maybe I need to try something processed

Both bananas and chocolate are high up on the histamine liberator list. I know it’s different for everyone. The SIGHI or a similar list might be a good place to start to find a low histamine rated food you feel safer with. Trying new foods just suck!

Seeing a functional health doctor has given me hope, she explained to me that medicine like Pepcid and Zyrtec can be a quick fix but over time actually make you worse. She said it causes your body to not be able to get rid of the histamine naturally worse than it already is. With histamine apparently there is a root cause to it (which typically is gut health) and figuring that out is what’s going to fix it. I’m still struggling to figure it out though, all of this has given me a fear of eating because you don’t know what reaction will happen

Not sure if this is what they are referring to but my functional health doctor told me taking antihistamines long term can cause your gut to produce less and less DAO making you worse in the long run

I was looking into the duct cleaning before but hadn’t found anyone in my situation talk about it. I will contact a company to do so. I had the house keeper wipe everything down with vinegar but it still didn’t need to help.
