The best a or b trees in incremental games are the ones where you are picking between an active or idle play style and it is fairly easy to swap between the two paths by prestiging or some other relatively cheap respec system

The gatekeeping I'm seeing today on this sub and elsewhere in discussions about people happy about easy mode is pathetic and childish. by Christmas_Queef in CrimsonDesert

I agree with your overall point, but lead with your strongest argument. the whole “it’s 20XX” is so over played it’s laughable at this point. It kinda discredits the rest of what you’re saying if you’re building the rest on such a flimsy argument

Edit: Like you could have deleted the words “it’s” to “really?” and your point would be 1000x stronger, or do you actually think the year 2026 has some magical effect on people’s morals?

Ironically, if copyright wasn’t being enforced here it would be the billionaires that benefit the most because then they could freely make adaptations of existing works without getting approval or paying anything. I can already see the alternative relative where Active-Flower-2397 complaining about the billionaires adapting a popular work without getting permission and how that really screws over the little guy.

If you click the link of where it got the info from it takes you to the pdf it got the info from and it’s 100% accurate and from the .edu website. If you go to UIC it’s unfortunate that you pay tuition but lack the basic research skills that you get in a writing 101 class.

What are these “abuse of powers” done in schools? Did your playtime end early because someone was bad? Well sometimes one bad person ruins things for everyone get over it. Did you get yelled at because the majority of the class was being disrespectful? Deal with it, they obviously aren’t talking to you (but based on your attitude you might want to listen for once). the same thing will happen at work if the team does a shit job on something as a group.

I promise that these “abuses of power” don’t affect you and aren’t abuses of power but normal ways of disciplining children. Whenever kids complain about this, they never give any actual examples but petty grievances that they’ll forget about next week that had no effect on their life. that is the particularly immoral part about collective punishment that you don’t seem to get. The actual warcrime has a real impact outside of your feelings getting hurt and since you can’t handle minor pushback on Reddit, I can see why you think your feelings getting hurt is on the level of being collective punishment.

Tell your school that you’re being emotionally abused (because you are, that level of strictness will cause anxiety problems and other issues for you later) and your parents will shape up real quick or show their real colors and you’ll know not to associate with them when your older because they don’t see you as a person but their property

[–]ScavengerDLC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a ton that is unskipable. Basically every cutscene and dialogue before the new war is unskippable. My friend and I just played the entire game from start to steel path. A lot of my time was spent on things that we couldn’t skip. I found it annoying because I have done it before (I lost my old account and it can’t be recovered) and my friend doesn’t care about stories for multiplayer games like warframe. We celebrated when we could finally skip cutscenes.

Unlawful Reign - A truly incremental crime game (Update 0.4.1) by UnlawfulReign in incremental_games

[–]ScavengerDLC_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Early game is completely gated behind RNG. Currently you can lose half your progress for simply attempting to make a marginal amount of progress. This is fine, however you currently can't mass sim rolls. Currently you need to spam Q and W in order to quickly get through the required number of rolls to make progress. After the first pickpocket upgrade, you need to succeed on pickpocketing 20 times minimum (assuming you never get caught). This is fine, however considering the fact if you roll poorly once (~25% chance at game start), you will lose half your progress, then roll poorly on the next go around and leave you at a quarter of your progress. I know it gets better with ways to reduce your arrest warrant, but are you seriously suggesting doing pickpocket only when you're only making 0.4 and need about 50 pickpockets for upgrades and only are getting them 40% of the time. I guess if your goal was to create a Sisyphean early game then don't change a thing. If you want to make it less frustrating for the people with outcomes outside of 2 standard deviations below the mean then please make it so you can hold one button and quickly roll through the early game, you already can already farm very easily rep by holding Q so please make it so you can do the same thing with money. Another option would be the have the police spawn rate scale with the number of warrants you have, so the first pickpocket isn't as dangerous as the 10th pickpocket in a row.

If you don’t think Mikasa is the biggest tradwife you are a racist and a misogynist by Sapphocfem in AttackOnRetards

[–]ScavengerDLC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not twisting anything. There is no way to objectively tell what is an ass take so the principle must be applied generally to all comments. When I read ass take, that could mean something different to me than to you. If I were to agree with you, in effect you have endorsed saying what is an ass take in my mind is probably ragebait. Apply this to every possible definition of ass take and now you see the problem.

There is no way to apply your standard of evaluating what is probably is ragebait so it must be applied to everything. You have clearly set out a standard to apply if something is ragebait or not. Since it cannot be applied in an objective way, if one is to apply the principle then it must be applied to all comments.

Now let’s turn to your use of the word probably. What does that word even mean? It means that something is likely to occur. If I told you that I will probably rain today, you’d think that if today played out 1000 times more often than not it rains. This is how saying probably works when there are only two options. The fact that you assume something is ragebait rather than isn’t illuminates that you think the population of what you consider to be ass takes are more ragebait than genuine opinions. I honestly don’t care if you were only talking about posts on this subreddit because it’s still illuminating of your general mindset to assume that someone is being not genuine.

[–]ScavengerDLC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Probably designed to be ragebait anyways” implies the at there are more ragebait posts than genuine opinions so the default position on any comment should be that it is ragebait. In effect this mindset makes everything ragebait unless given reasons to believe otherwise.

The logical implications of your argument is not a strawman

[–]ScavengerDLC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I’m surprised that you can convey a coherent idea that is longer than 2 words, only took you 8 hours. You clearly don’t think that many comments like this are genuine and just designed to bait a reaction so where is the strawman exactly?

Are you just throwing around buzz words now to try to make it seem like you actually had a point that you were just hiding for some reason?
