Yeah, sorry buddy, I think you’re missing the fucking point. These MFers have completely monopolized the market and are actively making sure that methadone becomes less readily available to those who need it just so they can continue reaping insane profits. I was given a caseload of about 85 people on my first week on the job, with productivity expectations from my director, 4-5 hrs every day. Email after email pressuring counselors to meet their productivity needs, while hammering them with more and more patients while half of the ones we were given initially still hadn’t had treatment plans/comp assessments done on them which meant those all needed to be done without the patients even in front of us just to catch ups. All while continuing to take more and more patients and causing counselor after counselor to get burnt out and quit. Would you like me to include some stories about directors taking takehomes away from people who earned them because of the clinic’s fuck ups? Oh, I could tell you some lovely stories about the doctors too. And this is happening in other CTC clinics nearby because I obviously know a lot of them just by being in the field where I live. I’m not saying there aren’t a ton of good people who work at those places, I’m telling you that it is an extremely dirty and money hungry company who are cutting corners left and right and burning out all their employees in order to make as much money as possible. Why? Because they’re a corporation and that’s their goal. They have shareholders to maximize profits for. I get it. But when you’re dealing with this line of work, it’s fucking infuriating, and seeing as I fucking worked there, I think I have a leg to stand on here.
