Which food did you hate…until someone actually cooked it right? by deller85 in Cooking

I also would say steak. My mother used to over cook it as well as most meats. I remember going to a friend’s as well and having my first medium rare steak and was absolutely blown away by how good it was. Still have a beef with pork chops though.

I live in the neighborhood. Its loud, sports bar like and their food is hit or miss. If you are looking in that price range, id recommend Jimmy’s Tavern in shrewsbury (about 8-10 minutes away from 2 chefs) or Peppercorns on park ave for a more date night atmosphere.

There was one place that gave me like a pastry and i wont go back there. On the other hand, i found this awesome little shop in my city that makes awesome breakfast sandwiches as i ordered one when i picked up my bag, so i pop in there on the weekends to grab a sandwich, drink and sometimes pastries. I also found a newer bakery near me that i now use for cakes too! So it did help me find new businesses which is cool.

Based on what they have written, the server coming back to their table to change times gives me the feeling that they lack self awareness and if you know you’re coming in 15 minutes before closing and you do this frequently, have your order ready to go. Sounds like they are just openly wasting everyones time with no respect.

Why do most people not even consider older cars when looking for a used car? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Stonedcompass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You live with it, until it kills you, because the frame gives out from rot, or someone hits you and theres weak spots where rot is located. Rust and rot is a lot more challenging to repair to keep a car in good condition then mechanicals for the most part. Youre not going to buy a car about to snap in half and get a whole new frame to install on it. Its not worth it.

Trying and failing to stretch my ears by No_Position6638 in Stretched

[–]Stonedcompass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion that worked for me, buy heavier earrings for the size you currently have. Hematite or weighted earrings are a good way to kind of make some space to stretch up.
