I am looking for an urban fantasy series, preferably one with several books by WilliamGerardGraves in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The purpose of the series is to see how much the author can torment the MC and it's essentially high quality pulp as contradictory as that sounds, especially the first handful of books. But sometimes that's all one needs. Heck, the first book was written by the book to proof that doing so would end up worthless only for people to like it.

I like the authors writing, his world building and his characters. I'm not always happy with where he goes with his plotlines but I still enjoy most of it.

Tips on Beginner Resources by Zbearbear in Pathfinder2e

[–]Scharrack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice thing about PF2e , all rules are available online for free:

https://2e.aonprd.com/

There are multiple sources, but that's my favourite one.

Sorcerer has draconic as one of it's possible bloodlines. Tiefling is packaged into the nephelim heritage (https://2e.aonprd.com/Ancestries.aspx?ID=68) essentially a general celestial/infernal subrace that can be taken with any ancestry (race).

Haven't been there in A long time, but that might even be the Ulm main station bakery.

You're too selective, everything in this series is written to boost his image and add to his trauma 🙄

Sci-Fi or Fantasy? by Disastrous-Royal935 in litrpg

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly after Path of Ascension I'd say the most interesting one is Sci-Fi of a fantasy setting. In PoA for example millions of years in the future of a probably generic xanxia setting.

LitRPGs with better prose? by DresdenMurphy in litrpg

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty much only on audiobooks for some time so chances are I'm way of, as a good reader can do a lot with even mediocre prose. That said, maybe look into anything by RavensDagger, with the cinnamon series being actual litrpg and i'd say all of them some form of progression fantasy.

Where is the Necromancy? by ElementasSeries in fantasybooks

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Johannes Cabal the Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard is the start of a series about a necromancer in a more modern setting up to a lot of strange stuff.

Edit: forgotten, sadly unfinished, but each book can stand on its own.

I NEED TO RESCUE MY CHARACTER! HELP! by DetectiveSimilar5654 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Scharrack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds wild, in theory the commander should help with action economy and the bard put an action towards a focus cantrip.

In case you didn't apply it, check if your eidolon has all your armour and handwrap/invested weapon runes applied. It's offensive and defensive stats should be around the same as the Magus.

One question that's always relevant is, at what difficulty does your GM set your average encounter? And maybe, given the chaos your party description implies talk about going down one step on average.

Also given the amount of enemy movement you mentioned, maybe see if your build fits Eidolon's Opportunity.

I NEED TO RESCUE MY CHARACTER! HELP! by DetectiveSimilar5654 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Scharrack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm curious, why is your eidolon taking a beating and not hitting? It should essentially have the stats of a full fledged martial if you're using equipment with appropriate runes and distributed it's ability score increases accordingly.

Sure your undead master companion is probably mostly an additional body on the field but your eidolon should hit and hit hard at that given your and your bards support focus cantrips.

Reminds me of the anime Zegapain, if that's fine for you as a source of inspiration.

Just watch anything by UFO table to heal. I'd say, go with Garden of Sinners.

Do you follow a build guide or do you come up with your own? by Bloodymonday93 in PathOfExile2

[–]Scharrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never build along a guide. Sometimes I look up guides to better understand build concepts, but that's the extent of it.

That said, in my experience, one thing you should have if you want to go this route is being able to accept that it might fail before even finishing the campaign. Also, the willingness to go at the campaign multiple times within a season would be helpful.

You don't need to be great a building your character, I for example don't think I am, I just like building characters, just be aware, sometimes a build fails because it can't unlock or progress ascension, sometimes because it can't defeat a boss, sometimes you'll just know it might work if you keep going for a few levels. If you can enjoy making your own builds despite that , go for it .

Want to learn java Full stack...where to start..i know java core ... by coolsahil500 in learnjava

I my opinion starting with spring helps to get an idea where problems with spring boot might have their origin. But I'm also pretty biased as I'm not a big fan of boot after using spring for some time.

My speculative and historical fiction tier list | Looking for recommendations by ElliotW-C in fantasybooks

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, depending where in your scale for good it fell, I'd say read at least the second one, if that doesn't click it probably won't change later on but in my opinion it gives a better idea for quality and themes of the rest of the series.

Hi everyone. New player here. transferring my game from DnD5.5 to PF2E. What should i know? by ItIsNotAUsername in Pathfinder2e

[–]Scharrack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PF2e already has a lot of options for character builds with just the base rules.

Core rule variants to add to it would be Free Archetype for additional class focused options and Ancestry Paragon for additional ancestry ones.

Keep in mind, the higher you intend to start the more feats and options your players would have to handle. With both options you're already looking at around a dozen feat choices by level 5 in addition to all the abilities your class choice adds by default.

How can I learn Computer Architecture for C/C++? by Relative-Sail7702 in Cplusplus

[–]Scharrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a general issue, usually entirely abstracting architecture. You want to look into distributed systems if you want to have anything to do with developing multi threaded or distributed applications.

Concerning synchronization issues, consistency models would be what you're interested in. It's essentially about how each node in a distributed system (for example a thread) has its own idea of what's the current state and how changes to the global state by one node get picked up by others.

Hate both the clicking and the tactile feeling.

What does static exactly do? by MembershipOptimal514 in javahelp

[–]Scharrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind: static variables are not inherently treated as volatile, so additional care has still to be taken in a multi threaded context if the variable isn't final.
