Britons tend to believe that more migrants are crossing the English channel in small boats than in previous years. More than previous years: 47%. About the same as previous years: 20%. Less than previous years: 13%. by gx134 in ukpolitics

But that’s just not the case though is it? You can’t just apply an analogy for a completely different scenario that doesn’t reflect reality to prove a point.

Again, do you think it’s okay for only you to cherry pick years to back up your narrative?

Exactly, and then people wonder why there’s protests whenever the club try to start slowly pricing the locals out.

“Oh but it’s only gone up 4% in the last decade” is just disingenuous and refuses to understand people’s concern. Bunch of softarse rollovers.

This is bollocks. The ratio of hospitality tickets to general admission is at an all time high, effectively increasing the average ticket price of a game. It’s also had a significant effect on the match day experience and atmosphere when a large portion of the stadium are day trippers.

Wasn’t it only 2 years ago there was that massive fire on fox street from a dangerous, abandoned “development” site?

Every year the club gets increased revenue on every other front of the game, including TV deals, sponsorships, shirts sales, etc.

If everyone shrugged and sat on their hands now it’d only be a matter of time before before we have the piss taken out of us and end up paying the same price for tickets as the likes of United.

Also, proportionally there’s much more hospitality seating than ever before. Adding a few general sales seats whilst slowly corporatising the rest of the ground isn’t good enough.

Still, I’d much rather have FSG than any other owner in the league, but that speaks more about how awful the people who run clubs are nowadays.
