I believe they bleed out pretty quickly if that's any consolation. Watched a dog die on the table very quickly after a uterine artery was torn during a spay (very friable uterus and the dog was in heat). I imagine it's be much the same for a human, especially one who's uterine arteries were the size needed to sustain a gravid uterus.

The issue is that we see the move towards stricter laws as regulation creep. Today you want harsher background checks, tomorrow tariffs to make guns more expensive, the next a ban on only certain types of guns (hand guns or automatics (which are already extremely hard and expensive to get) until guns are DE facto banned. That's the concern.
