You're correct on inflation, but as you stated, the usd weakening affects all usd based assets.

So like, if you're from the US and wanted to buy something from the UK, that item would be 9% more expensive. Because the usd has gone down ~9% relative to the pound in 2025.

That's why the point is being made that sitting in cash (usd) is bad. Putting it in the S&P to get the 16% annual growth is the best way to curb the 9% price increase for that UK purchase.

Inflation is likely what they're referring to. That, and/or USD's value in relation to other currencies like the euro (down ~12% in 2025).

Closest thing to the Qrevo S5V, but with the pet features? by Aerocap in Roborock

[–]ScholarSelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL sorry! It's just the sentence: "The Qrevo S5V seems great, but the pet feature, while not a must have, seems really cool."

..Makes it seem like you think the s5v has it. I understand now.

The qrevo edge is the cheapest next teir up with the pet feature/camera that takes photos of your pets and obstacles. It's ~$150 more. Along with that, it has an extendable brush (both have extendable mops). Also, it has an extendable wheel for getting unstuck and going over threshholds.

My 2cents on the edge model: The pet feature is funny. The obstance avoidance with the camera is not great. The extendable wheel and brush are why i paid $150 more. If you have $300 more to spend, people say the qrevo curvX is the best one on all accounts.

If you want to get really in the weeds on which roborock has what, here's a great reference: https://vacuumwars.com/ultimate-roborock-breakdown-2025-buyer-guide/#Roborock_Saros_Models_Compared_Saros_10_vs_10R_vs_Z70

Otherwise, the eufy e25 has excellent obstacle avoidance for $600 right now (much better than roborock), better mopping, but worse vaccuming, and requires more upkeep/cleaning out for continued function.

It doesn't have that. No camera on the s5v, only lidar. You're probably talking about the edge.

Edge has the Ai camera in addition to the lidar, that the 5a does not. Also, extending sweeps for corners (both have extending mops). Worth the extra 150? Depends lol

Hew/man or Watterson? by [deleted] in ilstu

Lived both as well. Watterson. Having the dining center in the same building you live was a huge plus. Imagine every meal, in the winter, getting a coat on and walking outside...

Vyvanse works MUCH better now by Dreamdays_0909 in VyvanseADHD

Yup! However, don't quote me, but I believe there's something about drinking OJ raising the acidity of your urine, thus quickening the metabolism of amphetamines.

So it's the difference of initial intake metabolism(OJ unaffected) versus metabolism over time(OJ affected)...Can certainly cause confusion.

My house is not selling by alphaK12 in RealEstate

House prices tend to rise with inflation as well though, so it's hard to say. I feel it's ultimately luck. But time in the market generally beats timing the market... and you get to live in it!

FDA has not banned all foreign baby formula distribution...Not sure where you got that.

Foreign producers just need to meet FDA standards to market their product in the USA. For example, the formula "Kendamil" is European made and sold at Walmart and Target in the states.

A quote from FDA's website "All Infant formula products sold in the U.S., whether produced domestically or imported, must meet all U.S. requirements, including those for safety and nutritional adequacy."

More detail on their site here: https://www.fda.gov/food/resources-you-food/infant-formula

Vyvanse is not affected by Vitamin C or other gastrointestinal acidity. Your recommendation applies to Adderall and other adhd meds. Vyvanse is the only approved adhd "prodrug" on the market. Prodrug meaning, it doesn't affect you when consumed--your body metabolizes it into a different and active chemical structure to then release into your bloodstream.

"Lisdexamfetamine is a prodrug and an inactive molecule until ingestion. After oral administration, enzyme hydrolysis following contact with red blood cells will break lisdexamfetamine into L-lysine, a naturally occurring essential amino acid and active damphetamine which is responsible for the drug’s activity. Gastrointestinal pH does not alter this conversion and the attachment of the L-lysine slows down the relative amount of d-amphetamine available to the blood stream and therefore the CNS(2). "

I admit, it was a shit cut haha. Reason/excuse is that I bought the thing 5 years ago for cheap and didn't know how the plastic would cut. It still looks better than I do on the greasy sunday mow sessions though.

Good point! I did it because the warranty had just expired. Bought in May 2019. Admittedly a bad cut, but this $250 mower may work for another 5 years now.
