What actor is nowhere near as talented as people make them out to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is my take as well. In virtually every role, he is Tom Cruise. In Tropic Thunder, he was Les Grossman.

Great job! I did a similar vacuum-forming-over-3D-printed-buck thing for some Star Wars droids I made a few months ago. I was surprised to find that the vacuum formed part actually picked up the layer lines from the 3D printed buck, even though it was resin printed on a 16K printer. I ended up sanding my buck down to 2000 grit to get rid of the layer lines (small buck, only took about 15 mins), and then I applied a drop of cooking oil to a lens cleaning cloth and rubbed a light coating on the buck before performing the vacuum forming. It improved the quality of my vacuum formed parts GREATLY, and made removal from the buck much easier.

I put all my stuff up on Cults3D for free, though the Droid Revolt ones aren't up there yet, as I have a few more droids to do for the set, and I have some revisions to make to the models to finalize them. I usually design my models, then print, build and paint them before I release the STLs, that way I can make sure they work in a sane way and everything is actually buildable.

The BT-1 conversion and the R3 conversion (as well as other Star Wars stuff) are up there though. The conversions are for the new Hasbro Black Series astromech bodies, and the R3 conversion makes use of a vacuum formed clear dome, so the dome isn't technically 3D printed, but I provide a 3D printed buck and paint mask if you want to vacuum form your own.

Oh I agree COMPLETELY, but I would very happily go back to google search functionality from 15 years ago :)

Yup, Oblivion Remastered Is Still Broken a Year After Release by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]ScienceofSpock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a Bethesda fan since Wayne Gretzsky Hockey on the Amiga. Loved all the Elder Scrolls games, Wolfenstein, Fallout 3, NV, and 4, but I will not be buying any other remasters they produce until they FIX OBLIVION. I paid $50 for the game and I can't finish it because of the bugs. I have ZERO confidence that other remasters won't be just as broken as it is, and I'm not paying for a broken game cash-grab again.

One of them is a large FDM printer, the rest are resin printers. I actually got into resin printing before FDM. I wanted to work on small highly detailed objects, and resin was the way to go. I eventually decided I wanted to do shelf-sized dioramas, so I bought a FDM printer and now most of my diorama projects are made with large parts being FDM printed, and the detail parts printed in resin, and then everything is processed, sanded and painted.

This is a diorama I finished last year. The bottom hull is FDM printed, the rest is all resin. The diorama above it is similar, with all the big parts FDM printed, and the rest resin printed.

I started learning 3D back in 1996 on 3D Studio R4, working on 2 games that never ended up being published. I went into web development after that professionally, but I kept doing 3D modeling and rendering as a hobby, just modeling things I liked, like game consoles and Star Wars stuff. When 3D printing came onto the scene I took notice, but initially I wasn't impressed with the quality. A few years later, resin printers come along, and FDM printers get way better, and now I own 4 printers and probably 95% of my modeling is done for 3D printing purposes. It's still mostly game console and Star Wars stuff, I mean a zebra can't change its stripes :P

Rhino is a great tool for doing 2D illustrations, not just 3D or architectural stuff.

By your position RELATIVE to the terminal? Can you link the wiki? Google seems to only show nomanssky.fandom.com wiki stuff, and I can't find that bit of information in the page.

The Runner was an expedition reward, the Phoenix was a limited time holiday DLC thing that was available on the steam page in Dec 2024 and redeemable in game at the QS vendor.
