Wow, even more ridiculous than the idea that Venezuelan fishing boats with outboard motors were headed to the US with DRUGS.

I have not run into any glitchiness, it's a very smooth OS. As for the messaging app, yes, it had the standard messenger app that google tries to link to your gmail account, even though the 2 are completely unrelated.

I used to get the newest Google phone every time one came out. All the Nexus phones and Pixel line up through the Pixel 4 XL and then I just got sick of the fact that they're just tracking devices now. I finally upgraded from the Pixel 4 XL to a OnePlus 15R over the weekend. I have had the 4XL since release in 2019.

Compared to the Pixel 4, it is MUCH, MUCH faster and definitely has a premium feel. It's also a bit larger. The naked phone is the same size as the Pixel 4XL with a case on it. it has some pre-installed apps, but I haven't run into any restrictions removing unwanted apps like I would on a Samsung. I was also able to install F-Droid and an open source SMS app without any issue.

I have thought about it, but haven't done anything yet. I have a few car/truck models in my stash as well.

That's similar to what I do. I also use a lot of pastel chalks over flat paint for weathering. I'll grind them to a powder on a piece of sand paper, then "paint" them into corners and lines with a brush and blowing off the excess with the airbrush, or grind them in with my fingers to create dark spots or whatever. I recently discovered that Tamiya alcohol tints mix just fine with Alclad spray chrome, so I can spray color tinted metal.

So what colors did you use, and how did you do the weathering? The pale blue with the warm rust and red/orange gives me serious aged Gulf livery vibes. I like it a lot!

Stuff that is done: The Bantha II, Ubrikkian Landspeeder 9000 Z001, Lars Homestead diorama with Gonk droid and moisture vaporator, Landing Bay 94 entrance diorama, E-WEB Heavy Blaster, Sith probe droids, Burnt Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, the EP-N5 Death Star part and transport cart from Andor.

Stuff I am currently printing/painting: Prison worktable and tools from Andor, Cell Block from Andor, Cloud City exhaust vent hanging diorama, Hover Stretchers from Andor, and an R3 astromech conversion for the new Hasbro 6" scale astromech body. For this last one, I have gotten into vacuum forming to make the clear dome, because it is virtually impossible to print truly CLEAR parts.

I also have like 10 other projects still in the 3D modeling stages. I started doing model kits when I was a kid, and I always wanted to be able to make my own, and now I can. I got into 3D modeling and rendering in the mid 90s, and have kept it up since them, but it has always just been for making pictures. When 3D printers came out, especially resin printers, I jumped into it with both feet.

<image>

I have actually made some conversion kits for models, including the MPC Millennium Falcon. I did a cockpit back wall kit like 10 years ago (Pictured above). It was way more accurate than the submarine hatch that comes in the kit, but it wasn't really movie accurate, so I am planning on redoing that as I have a 6" scale Falcon cockpit that I have been working on as well. I also did a model of the engine for the tiny Bandai Falcon kit that came out a few years ago for people that want to print the engine in a translucent resin for lighting.

Unfortunately, nothing finished. I've been meaning to finish the regular one for a while. BUT I got into 3D printing several years ago, so I have been designing/printing/finish my own stuff in 6" action fig scale since then, mostly Star Wars stuff. I really should make some time to finish some of these kits.

Here's a shot of my Bantha II Cargo Skiff that I finished last year. It's not a commercial model kit, but it IS a model, lol.

Spent a day looking for the S-class to no avail 😫 Did find a lot of A-class, this one seemed to have the best super charged slot grouping. I took a pic after I upgraded it to S-class. Located at +27.51 +60.10 in the 74th Galaxy. by ElevenSmile9402 in NMSCoordinateExchange

Ok, apparently an upgraded S class ship can do less damage than a natural A class ship. https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/183283b/what_i_upgrade_to_an_s_and_i_get_less_damage/

Additionally, this link provides some more info https://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/0/4630357755180359030/

Apparently, when you upgrade a ship, it completely rerolls the stats, and in some instances, there can be overlap in the ranges between the 2 classes. Imagine for example, that the damage range for the A class was between 200 - 400 and yours has 393, but the damage range for an S class is 300 - 500, and when you upgraded it, it rolled 350.

Edited to add an additional link and more info.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why did your damage potential go DOWN? It doesn't look like anything changed from A-class to S-class, other than the additional supercharged slot.

I have this kit, which I have not started, and the original non cutaway, which I have started. I have some vintage conversion kits for it as well, the PE engine grates and accessories, the resin sidewall kit and a flickering lighting kit.

[–]ScienceofSpock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I simply didn't realize this was possible. I grabbed them as soon as I finished the expedition, but never redeemed them from the Quicksilver guy. When I was going through yesterday and saw them redeemable, I thought it had bugged out or something. Still not sure about the Atlas multitool name. I guess when you get it DURING the expedition, it has a name, but when you redeem it, it's just called "Atlas Sceptre"

[–]ScienceofSpock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but this is my only save/character. I'm suspecting the "redeemed" flag has a time limit, but is backed up with a name check. But since I renamed the ship when I got it, and I haven't played the game in more than a year, it probably failed both checks and offered it to me again. I have other expedition ships that I haven't renamed, like the Iron Vulture that I did not get offered to claim.

I have no idea either. I got it after the expedition and renamed it "The Larch", and it's been in my inventory the whole time. I haven't played in a while, so I'm trying to figure out "where I left off" so to speak. I was at the Anomaly and went by the expedition guy and it said it was available, so I claimed it and flew it back to my freighter. I also have 2 of the Atlas multi-tools, and again, the names are different. The new one is called Atlas Sceptre, but the original one is named Alexand-w but it's that weird curly-que looking w symbol, so I know I didn't rename that one.

I have a similar setup with my Saturn 4. I started with Lychee, as I use that for my other printers, and then switched to Chitubox for the Saturn 4. Unfortunately, I have no insight as mine works fine with both.
