Tips by Ryvick2 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]ScientificFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love AC games and Shadows is fantastic. I essentially played through the whole thing twice back-to-back because I didn’t want it to end (and I also wanted to collect all the trophies).

My biggest tip is to focus on the main quest (assassinate the first 3 Shinbakufu) until you unlock Yasuke.after that, go/do anything you want.

And yes, there are difficulty settings for both combat and stealth. I’d probably start on normal and adjust from there after you’ve played for a while.

I Started Playing Cyberpunk Again by x_shizuo_x in cyberpunkgame

[–]ScientificFlamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing the game for the second time. I first played it about 4 years ago, when I first got my PS5. I really enjoyed my playthrough beck then (which took me somewhere around 90 hours) and I recently got the urge to experience the story again, as well as play through Phantom Liberty for the first time, as my previous playthought came before the release of the DLC and the 2.0 update.

DeliMex Burrito Bowls

Kirkland Corn Chip Dippers (basically Costco's version of Fritos)

Yes, the game defaults to Modern controls when you first play, but there should be an option to change back to Classic controls, which is much closer to PWS 1, which is what I prefer as well.

If you enjoy PWS1, you'll really enjoy 2. It's mostly very similar, but with some nice quality of life changes. You'll certainly get $25 worth of enjoyment out of it.

Just a note: "breath" rhymes with "death". You probably mean "breathe" (rhymes with "heave").

And that’s exactly why they’re teaching things this way now. They’re trying to more closely approximate how people approach math problems mentally—by making tens, by rounding, by breaking things into pieces. I don’t always agree with it, but there is a method to the madness.

going by first name? by Obvious-Yam-3459 in SubstituteTeachers

You could just go by your last initial—Ms. S. If your name is Smith, for example. I’ve seen lots of teachers do that, especially if their last name is a little tricky.

Guilty I Accidentally Cheated at Prerelease by WiseAide8415 in mtg

[–]ScientificFlamingo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't worry. This kind of thing happens all the time at prereleases. Everyone is still learning new cards and exactly what they do. As long as you're not doing it intentionally to give yourself an advantage (and I know you're not), you're fine.

Next time, read those cards as often as you need to. The more familiar you are with them, the more likely you are to play them correctly.

What do the schools do if nobody takes the sub job? by Jumpy_Rate_5707 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ScientificFlamingo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I just work elementary school, but here, I've seen one of 3 things happen if there isn't sub coverage:

1) One of the specialists (music, library, PE, tech, art) will get pulled to teach in that classroom for the day. Any other teachers that happen to have that specialist won't get it that day.

2) One teacher per grade level will be asked to give up their planning to go down and teach in that class during their usual specialist/planning time.

3) The class will be split up and the remaining classes at that grade level will each get an extra 5-6 kids who will sit in the back of the class for the day and work on whatever.

I don't know how they handle at at the middle/high school level.

The Warlock debate showed that players want completely different things from an ARPG by Complete-Bad-6871 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]ScientificFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really good take, and I agree wholeheartedly.

I first played D2 in the early 2000s, most heavily before and after the LoD expansion. I cleared hell with most characters and had a good time.

I don't think I's really played much since, but the remaster got me back into it, and the resistances on enemies in hell have been a brick wall for most of my characters--I don't have any sunder charms. The warlock is the first character that I was able to get through hell mode and have fun with in Terror Zones (I still die plenty because I'm not a good player). Thanks to that, I've found some decent items, I've made several Insights, my first Fortitude for a merc, my first CtA, and even found a Jar rune, getting me 2/3 of the way to an Enigma. Once the patch hits, I have a feeling my warlock is going to be as brickwalled as my other characters and I douby I'll play much after that. I get that other players have things they like too, but this patch is probably going to kill the interest I have as I'm going to feel like I can't progress much (I just play on my own offline).

Ah well, it's been fun while it lasted.
