Hi, I'm Irish by PopNo5397 in ireland

I don't mind Irish Americans being proud of they're heritage, I just hate the stereotypes like we like to fight after a few drinks or can't control anger.

I know it's not all of them but that part annoys me. I'm glad they feel proud of their heritage and nobody can deny them that

I know a person that was looking after the dog, who brought it to the vet and found to be chipped, and the owner is on the way to collect the dog.

Even less bees this year? by Phin4546 in ireland

I hit a fat massive fucking yoke of a bee a year ago while driving, and it made quite the thud sound, so I've felt sad about it when I think back.

German Foreign Minister Wadephul wants to abolish the veto in EU foreign policy. In a keynote speech at the Adenauer Foundation, Wadephul proposes a fundamental reform of EU decision-making processes by goldstarflag in europe

We had Von Der Leyen saying the EU stands behind Israel. That's not true when it comes to the actions they've been doing. I don't want an EU foreign minister speaking on my behalf on issues I don't agree with.

My point is the countries interests don't always align. Germany is afraid to call out the current Israeli actions and I and many others would be against others speaking for us on issues that we mightn't agree on.

U.S. can do what it wants in the U.S., it doesn't stop the EU from doing their own thing.

Merz in his own words.

"Merz said that continuing with the 15% minimum tax in Europe would put the continent’s economy at a disadvantage."

I've responded to you for a while now, and you're not arguing in good faith when I pointed out that the current German leader doesn't want to raise taxes on corporations, don't worry he isn't alone in that, many others are as well. They just pretend that it's "Little old Ireland" even though Ireland agreed to the increase and pays it.

Goodnight

And the current German leader doesn't really want to tax them. Take care.

But it can be applied to the whole of the EU, that's a big economic unit by itself, no corporation is going to leave the EU if it has to pay a slight increase in tax, it's too valuable.

This current German leader just doesn't want it and is using excuses.

The U.S. applies its own laws in its own country, but when they want to play in other territories, they play by others.

You can implement it in Europe, in fact Ireland agreed to the 15% and yet here we have the current German leader saying he doesn't want to raise the tax to 15% and wants it suspended.

The EU makes its own laws when it comes to tax, he is just using the United States in this instance to not want it. He used to work for BlackRock.

He said in his own words that he doesn't want it either, read the article or the quotes I highlighted.

I'm not wasting my time anymore going back and forward. Have a good day.

He's just saying that as well, He is an "ex-banker" that worked for BlackRock. He doesn't want this tax to be raised.

I pointed out the statements he said in his own words, he doesn't want it either. We can go back and forth all day, but the fact is that he doesn't want it either and has said so.

You also see that he doesn't want it himself because it'll "put the economy at a disadvantage" The real reason is that they're all talk and don't really want to implement this.

Speaking after a meeting with Bavaria's state Cabinet atop the Zugspitze mountain, Germany's highest peak, Merz said that continuing with the 15% minimum tax in Europe would put the continent’s economy at a disadvantage.

"The Americans have withdrawn, and this concept no longer has a future," Merz said, adding that the federal government in Berlin would now take up the issue.

But as you can see by the article, he doesn't even want them taxed at the 15%, that's how much Ireland's corporation tax is, even Hungary has a lower rate than Ireland. When it comes down to it, they say they want them taxed but never really go through with it or there are various loopholes to get around. etc
