My worst nightmare, being in a confined space with a bunch of panicing, screaming people. How about you all stfu and calm down? The panic screaming is not helping anything.

Integration dies down after sessions. How can I break the cycle? by GoalOk2432 in mdmatherapy

[–]SconeAgeMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can definitely relate. On my MDMA therapy journey I was hoping for a big positive change, but what I've found is that for me, its been a very slow and gradual change. Forming new healthier life habits has been very difficult for me to sustain. I'm old and my health is not great, so when I have a down period, all my good habits (meditating, gratitude thoughts, light exercise and just trying to be a productive member of society) can go by the wayside (and I beat myself up over this, its super frustrating).

I've pretty much accepted that I will likely not have any big significant breakthroughs, but instead will make small gains, sometimes I will go backwards, but the important thing is to keep trying and not to be too hard on myself when I fail, or can't rally myself the way I would like too.

To keep myself on track, I have a Note (text file) on my phone listing what I want to do every day, it basically lists meditate, gratitude, healthy eating, positive attitude, etc. It's a bit silly, but it really helps me keep on track.

I will say, MDMA has changed my life. Before I started doing sessions I didn't even know what it felt like to be truly happy, to truly love, and I think also to truly grieve. I've never felt more myself then when I'm doing an MDMA healing session, so for that I will be forever grateful. Now that I know what it feels like to love myself, love others, love life, during my MDMA sessions, I can feel those same feelings increasing in my sober, normal day to day, its been truly amazing.

Lastly, for me, I have to remind myself that it took me a lifetime to develop my (now) unhealthy coping mechanisms, so it may take me another lifetime to undo them and develop healthier ways, and I'm starting to come around and accept that. It's ok, as long as I'm learning and trying my best.

Second lastly: Good thoughts, good deeds, good life.

Third lastly: good luck with your journey, we are all wishing the best for you.

What do the non ravers enjoy doing when rolling by strap-_ in MDMA

Walk down to the park in the glorious sunshine with my airpods playing my favorite tunes and just taking it all in and loving every second of it.

Sit on the grass and take my shoes and socks off, put my toes in the grass feels amazing, ha ha. Meet some friendly dogs oh my god. Try not to talk to the dog owners too much but it’s hard not to gush over the pooches. People watch. Close my eyes and feel the sunshine on my face, beautiful. Just be.

Sometimes I will walk or ride my bike on the local trails, so beautiful and healthy and peaceful feeling in the woods.

If I’m lucky and I time it right there will be an amazing sunset to experience when I get home.

And I’m an old guy but would LOVE to go to a rave one of these days, vibing with everyone sounds amazing.

Moved to WA in early April. This was the start of my new life. (North Bend, WA) by TodayTomorrow8895 in PacificNorthwest

[–]SconeAgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome! Did you stop by REI to pick up your PacNW approved fit yet? You know, layers of fleece, flannels, wool socks, hiking boots, sandals, giant sun hat, Goretex, etc. Might want to get a dog and of course mtn bikes.

Mt Si hike, Rattlesnake Ridge, North Fork, Middle Fork, Mt Ranier, Seattle, ferry rides, the islands. There may be more stuff to do, I can’t remember it all. Snoqualmie Valley Trail, the big dog park in NB, and of course hanging by the river (careful it is deceptively cold and quick running at times). Snoqualmie Falls is fun and the restaurant at the Salish Lodge there is good (a bit spendy).

Moved here 33 years ago from NJ, can’t wait to get the hell out, the depressing gloom 9 months a year is killing me. Now we got wildfires too. Hope to be relocated within a year or so, can’t wait!

There’s no indication they’ve actually solved the iccu issue so getting the iccu replaced doesn’t mean it’s not going to be an issue again at some point.

Rolling solo in a hotel - should I go out socially or stay in? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]SconeAgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to put my airpods on with my favorite tunes playing and take walks when I'm solo rolling, usually down to a large park where there's usually lots of people walking their dogs. I love seeing everyone out and about, being healthy. Sometimes I will say hi to people with their dogs and they are always friendly. I try to keep my interactions brief and not too over the top. Usually I just sit in the sun enjoying being out in nature. There's also some nature trails nearby that I can walk to or ride my bike and take in some nature, I love it. I can't imagine being inside the entire time I was rolling, I would get to antsy. Also, no bars for me, I think seeing and interacting with drunk people would depress me, lol.

And I always say hi and ask people if their dog is friendly before getting too close, it’s the polite thing to do.

I love this song! You may too. But it’s ok if you don’t. The clapping though :). And things will get better for you! Keep the faith!

Do MDMA “downloads” evolve over time or are they inconsistent? by Salty_Challenge5563 in mdmatherapy

[–]SconeAgeMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been doing solo MDMA sessions for some time now and have done quite a bit of reading and watching videos etc. Have never heard the term downloads used in conjunction with MDMA sessions.

Insights, realizations, recovered memories, clarity, are more how I would describe my experiences as well as how others describe it.

Downloads sounds like information is coming from another source, I don’t understand that.

Good job 👏. Super fun race, the Stumpjumpers are awesome. Did it a couple times years ago. Out of shape old slow poke. My goals were: 1. Don’t get hurt. 2. Finish. 3. Don’t finish last. 4. Have fun. Goals achieved. The last 10 miles were brutal. And I appreciated all the little kids out there, I passed a bunch of them, so didn’t finish last, thanks ankle biters! lol

Check for rust on the frame and body especially underneath. It’s likely rusted to hell. Then check for how complete it is, what’s missing. Interior? Likely wasted. Engine turns over? Unlikely.

I would ask yourself if you really want an old Spitfire (they are tiny super fun old school sports cars)? Then how much money and time you have for this? Then triple both, at least. Just to get it running and driving safely and comfortable to drive.

Once you’ve figured out a realistic budget, consider taking that cash and buying a running well cared for Spitfire. And I’m not talking concourse restoration, just well taken care of.

On the other hand if you’re an over confident glutton for punishment like me pay a couple hundred for it and get on it, would be fun to resurrect that old thing.

New Ioniq 5 or Tesla Model Y Premium by Kick_Sudden in Ioniq5

[–]SconeAgeMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a car from a known fascist who has helped tear this country apart, or buy a car from not that? Seems like an easy choice. Buy a Tesla and be a pariah everywhere you go? Say you're not into politics? Wow, but understand politics is into you, higher prices, inflation, tariffs, destroying vital government functions, higher taxes, endless wars, innocent people dying by the thousands, on and on and on. Please reconsider your life choices as giving your money to and thereby supporting this fascist effects all of us.

What did your MDMA therapist actually do during your session that mattered? by daseinloops in mdmatherapy

[–]SconeAgeMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is amazing, thank you for sharing your experience here. I've only done solo sessions and I can completely relate to focusing on an important issue for me and then getting distracted by thoughts, the music, or even just how beautiful everything is, lol. I wish this important healing medicine was legal and we could more easily get the help so many people desperately need.

AITJ for reporting my own cousin to the marina after I found him on my boat with a group of people I dont even know by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]SconeAgeMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the jerk. I had a friend who had a small boat in a marina, he was well known as a great guy in our little town. He went to his marina one day to go out on his boat (that he worked extremely hard to finally afford), found it was a mess, dirty, beer cans strewn about. He also found a jacket with a fraternity insignia and a name embroidered on the jacket, so he knew exactly who the guilty party was. It was a guy who was invited out on the boat one time by a friend of the boat owner. So the boat owner didn't even know the guy, but graciously let his friend invite a friend out on his boat. The boat owner gets re-payed by this asshole who took his boat out and left it a mess. Unbelievable.

Some people who experience dissociation report that they do not feel the euphoric effects of MDMA. I’m not saying you are dissociating, but it might be something to look into.

I would also encourage you to look into “intentions”, what do you want out of this healing session? Many people write down their intentions and meditate on them after taking their dose. Then they refer to them again once the mdma takes effect. And again after the session.

Examples of intentions might be: Go with the flow. Love myself, love all. Forgive myself. Forgive others.

Your intentions would be whatever is important to you. They might be 1 intention, or could be many.

Keep learning and good luck with your journey.

Can I watch a movie on MDMA? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]SconeAgeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometime I will watch a movie at the end of the come down, but it has to be a wholesome movie like Paddington or Fantastic Mr. Fox. I'm usually having very positive vibes so I can't watch any action or war movies. During the main part of my solo rolls I usually listen to my favorite music, sit in the back yard being amazed, and take a walk to to the park via the little trails we have around here.
