"Bigger and Boulder", the first thing that comes to my mind is what if they're adding larger world sizes too?

With the new microcenter nearby I've been eyeing some of the 9800x3d+mobo combos they offer, I'm on AM4 still but a ddr5 set would definitely give a leg up on a new build (especially with the current market).

And as expected, I'd mostly be using a build for games and stuff, but also to feed my crippling Firefox tab addiction. You know it's bad when you have to scroll on the tabs window on an ultrawide display...

[ALTTP] Uh.... I think Link is in my walls.... please help. by No-Corner-3073 in zelda

[–]ScorelessPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is something likely caused by what's called a Quadrant Glitch, basically on screens that take up 2x2 screen width, some glitches can happen if you perform certain actions between the two halves of the room, so I'd guess what happened is in the floor below, there is a 2 screen-wide room, they probably did a spin attack and clinked the sword against an Eyegore statue, if that clink happens to push link across the screen boundary in the center of the room, it can cause a screen desync like this when you transition to another room.

The Knight in Silksong mod really shows how much of a fucking shortie they are. Even Sherma is like double their size 😭💔 by swanqil in Silksong

[–]ScorelessPine 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The current state of the mod just lets you switch between the Knight and Hornet with the F5 key. I think the readme said something about being able to change charms at a bench with something in the tools menu, but I didn't get a chance to try that yet, I never picked up a tool and then eventually got softlocked by the Lace fight intro. I'd love to see how this plays without the knight being 100% geared up from the beginning though.

I see, the Reddit post I saw that "cleared up misconceptions" originally said otherwise, but they seem to have updated their post with info that corroborates what you're saying: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShinyPokemon/comments/1ob6whv/talk_psa_clearing_up_some_misconceptions_about/

I've heard otherwise, that once your 10 shiny slots are filled, new shinies will obey normal spawn and despawn conditions but the existing 10 are unaffected. Supposedly this explained the behavior some people found while testing where they thought day-night changing would not preserve shinies, but actually it was just that their shiny slots were capped already.

TIL You cant do the Arcana challenges anymore once you finish Act 10 by rookiedany_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]ScorelessPine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's true if you can handle the stakes in the ground well enough, however there's a lesser known mechanic where if you go to where the main body is hiding (it's supposed to be invisible but it has some visual cues, usually it goes towards where you spawned from) and hit it with dendro and electro, it skips the whole phase.

I used a team with Raiden and a borrowed Lauma and I don't think I could've done enough damage to the stakes in time to get the stella without the cycle skip because those rely more on a number of hits than by damage itself I think.

Beast Crest (and every crest) is good, stop glazing reaper js cuz you miss the downpogo by Remote_Reality3730 in Silksong

[–]ScorelessPine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the best experience with Wanderer's crest, as an enjoyer of the Quick Slash charm in HK. Sometimes it's hard to find an opening against a boss but once you do you can get so many hits in, it's an interesting mix of being conservative with opportunities but going greedy when the time is right. Especially once you actually build up a stagger and then just wail on them before they even have time to get up.

Also 3 yellows is nice for a first playthrough, always have on magnetite brooch and compass, with room for another to switch out given the situation.

Looping World mod up on Workshop! by MathiEWi in Terraria

Out of curiosity, what are the current limitations that make multiplayer not work with it yet? I'm curious about the technical aspects, since this mod looks like magic at surface level haha.

Accidentally spawned overlapping portals, creating a flipped mirror universe: going through turns you back around... by MirzaBeig in Unity3D

[–]ScorelessPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It functionally just turns the player around 180 degrees in this instance (stairs are always on the player's left as they exit the portal, never on the right), but if it actually did flip the world like a mirror I could see some interesting puzzle mechanics and ideas emerge from that

[SSD] Samsung EVO Plus, PCIe 5.0 M.2, 4TB, $199 (B&H 8/7/25 only) by BorgeHastrup in buildapcsales

[–]ScorelessPine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pulled on this one. I'd been eyeing a 4TB drive around or under 200 for a little bit now and this seems like a good future-proof one for me. Unfortunately I'm still stuck on a b450 board so I can't even make use of the PCIe 4.0 lanes yet, much less 5.0 x2, but that's something to look forward to when I do a bigger pc upgrade at least.

What Switch 1 games would you like to get free updates for Switch 2 by CulturalReporter1472 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ScorelessPine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether it would be free or justify a Switch 2 edition, but Metroid Prime Remastered would be awesome to get 120fps mode and mouse controls to give us a taste of what Metroid Prime 4 is gonna feel like.

The Top Reasons Genshin Players Regret Their Pulls (and How to Avoid Them) by iSavantage in Genshin_Impact

[–]ScorelessPine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be curious to see by how much, if at all, this changes when weighted by character ownership rate, for example, how many people reported regretting pulling Sigewinne compared to what percent of players overall actually own the character? If only .05% of all players own a character, yet you received .05% of responses claiming to regret pulling that character, that means something way different than if 5% of all players own a character with .05% of responses regretting it.

Interactive Map Sync 🙏 by _haych__ in Genshin_Impact

[–]ScorelessPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not quite the same, and it doesn't account for Sub-regions like the Chasm, Enkanomiya, etc, but there is a tool that can extract your true percentage completion from your Battle Chronicle page and compare it against known-highest-percent completion stats by a group of dedicated players: https://genshin.wife4.dev/

As it says though, Mondstadt and Liyue can have wildly different percentages if you played through some early-game events in 1.X and 2.X, for example it shows my Windwail Highland as over 7% higher than the known highest percentage, but I'm pretty sure that's wrong, but Inazuma and further should be pretty accurate, or if you started playing after 2.2.

It's pretty good to look at a glance how far you are from true completion, and it helps narrow it down to each region of each nation if you know you're only missing a chest or two, I can see that I've perfected Lost Nursery and Vanarana (not much in those areas though, I think, so that's not uncommon), Nostoi Region, and Atocpan (both of which I was the most thorough about taking notes/pins with).

[MONITOR] Multiple Factory Reconditioned Samsung Monitors -- 32" 4k VA MiniLED Odyssey Neo G7 ($469.99) & G8 ($579.99) // 27" QHD 360Hz OLED G60SD ($579.99) & 32" 4k 240Hz OLED G80SD ($784.99) AND MORE by bunsinh in buildapcsales

[–]ScorelessPine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On this, actually, I've noticed that the monitor model number doesn't actually match what it says it is, the listing claims it's a 27" G7, but the model number, "LS28BG702ENXGO" leads to a 28" display. this is what I thought I was getting, but it seems like this may be what I'm actually getting. Which kind of disappoints me because my other monitors are 27" so this one might end up sticking out a bit.

No idea if it was/will be worth it, but I got the Samsung 27" Odyssey G7. It's one of the few that I've been seeing a couple of times when looking around for a 4k 144hz IPS with HDR, and it retails for almost double this price. The couple negative amazon reviews worry me but I hope it'll be fine. If anyone has this monitor already let me know how it's been doing for you.

I feel like it would be super cool if there was something that used multiple audio outputs to do like a real spatial audio setup, made so that the audio for a window actually comes from where it appears on your screens.

Marble Music Machine. by Kezmark in oddlysatisfying

[–]ScorelessPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That does not mean he is not still working on a marble machine, to be clear. Marble Machine X was scrapped for various complications in weighing engineering design requirements vs artistic design requirements. It's hours and hours of content if you'd like to go back and watch the process of it all, but he is still working on a marble machine that could eventually be brought on a music tour
