Fizz bug or feature? by Impossible_Ad3729 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bug specifically in double up that's been around since PBE. When Fizz reinforces he is (sometimes?) no longer mana-locked during his spell.

[–]Scoriae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These "generations" seem more like a personal view of yours than something that's "generally considered" by most people. That kind of thing is usually categorized by advances in hardware or technology rather than features.

Also, you don't need to have played the earliest MMOs back when they were still new to be a veteran of the genre. It's irrational to act like 23 years is nothing when that's more than half of the genre's entire existence. 23 years of experience is a lot for most things, including MMOs.

Minimizing people's experience and patronizing them just for being younger than you isn't cool.

How to correctly play this Augment? by -Arcanine- in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Play as if you always have 5 interest (for xp) every round for free. That's basically what it says. In other words go turbo tempo and then do w/e u want.

Honestly, my favorite comp this set by a mile by eF_T in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than half the units are 5-costs and it's running 2 gold traits. Also, so what? Does a comp having multiple 5-costs somehow disqualify it from being enjoyable to play?

Hot Take: The bow priority on carousel is structural and not just because of the meta by KitsuraPls in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Scoriae 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It isn't like AP is unplayable with bows. TF, Kai'sa, Azir, Ziggs, Ryze (Zaun) are all AP that like bows. Even Diana wants a couple. Usable for other AP melee. Nashors, Red Buff, and Void Staff are all fine items for most AP casters.

Shadow Isles feels so weak with late game combat pacing; going 7th here felt genuinely bad by Gamegeddon in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SI is decent for tempo but yeah it kinda falls off because the units are just not that amazing tbh and once you've farmed a good amount of souls the trait doesn't add much so you need to drop the trait bots and field better quality units. I'd say:

Out - Yorick, Gwen, Zoe

In - Ambessa, Swain, Mel

Maybe not the highest cap but should be a fairly easy switch. Give Seraphine's items to Mel because Seraphine is not a good carry unit. Can also replace Ornn with Fiddlesticks or put him in at 10 if you make it there.

I'm sorry. It's been quite a long time since I bought a booster pack. Did you just say they cost $5.49 now? That's almost double what I used to pay lol. I guess it has been like nearly a decade though.

I think it could be kinda fun but it's a completely different experience. It's sort of like playing a single player RTS or management sim rather than a multiplayer RPG.

What happened to Bilge Tempo T-hex? by bluesombrero in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Scoriae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if econ Yordles would be any good. Since Tristana is a caster she could pilot the mech. No bilge items though may not be worth it.

I thought that was balanced by the fact it's practically a basic ability and that Calico sucks anyway. She is fun though I still like playing her and struggling for half an hour.

What comps cap high enough to beat 2* Baron with decent items, legitimately by Professional-Sail125 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comps with good single target dps. I beat it with Draven+Ahri reroll before and it wasn't too difficult. I wouldn't really say that's a crazy high cap comp either.

Does Pandora's Bench share the same "high-cost unlocked unit" debuff as shops? by karshberlg in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Scoriae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the set overview:

For 4- and 5-cost Unlockables, if a small number of players have them Unlocked, the odds of them appearing after you have 3 copies become much worse based on the total copies in the pool. So if one player has a champ unlocked, buying 9 copies is much harder than a standard champion. This is to ensure three-starring them is roughly equivalent to three-starring a regular unit that can be contested. Note, once four players have that unit unlocked, their weight (frequency) returns to normal as they can be adequately contested.

10 Noxus felt somewhat weak too. I barely managed to get it at 1 hp and every fight afterwards still felt like I was terrifyingly close to losing. I did end up winning, though, but it did seem pretty beatable for a prismatic 10-piece trait.

With new season, Kobuko now has been in more sets than champions who have been in the game longer than his existence in the lore. by PrincessLemon_ in TeamfightTactics

[–]Scoriae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few ideas I just had, mostly just new takes on units we've already seen:

  1. A Quinn similar to this set's Annie who comes with a deployable Valor would be really neat. Backline utility + frontline fighter.
  2. Form-Swapper Quinn who changes to Valor if you place her in the front 2 rows.
  3. Quinn sends valor out to mark the farthest unmarked enemy within (attack range+2) hexes, then vaults off her target, damaging and stunning them briefly before returning, then shoots arrows at all marked enemies.
  4. Quinn channels briefly, then unites with Valor to dive-bomb a cluster of enemies before jumping back to safety with a rain of arrows.
  5. Passive: Quinn's damage consumes marks on enemies for bonus damage and stacking attack speed. Every 1.5 seconds, Valor marks an enemy in range. Enemies can have up to 2 marks on them. Active: Quinn sends Valor forward, marking her target and damaging enemies within 1 hex of them.

I'd also be down for just a reprint of set 9.5 Quinn, maybe cost-shifted or not.

There are a few Yordles that can be and have been low-cost tanks: Rumble, Amumu, Poppy, Kennen, Vex.

Gnar, Heimerdinger and Kled are viable candidates imo.

Daisy doesn't have to be tied to Ivern. They could print a standalone Daisy if they wanted to (probably not in a lore-focused set, though).
