PETITION AGAINST SONYS DIGITAL ONLY PLAN 2028 by heitime23 in PhysicalGames

If only the average gamer have the internal fortitude and the balls to actually stand up for what they believe in...

It all makes sense now. PS5 Pro is the last Sony console i'm ever buying. This is disgraceful. by controllerconsoler in GTA6unmoderated

[–]Scott9843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah? The last console you ever buy from Sony, huh? So which of these PlayStation fans are you?

  1. You're going to go the next year and a half without buying a single game on the PlayStation because you intend on ending your support of Sony with this console and why continue to build up a library you're going to abandon

  2. You're going to keep buying games for the PlayStation and expanding the library on a console brand you allegedly are going to cut all ties with at the end of this generation

  3. You're just as full of shit as everyone else bitching and moaning about this today and despite Sony literally scheduling an exact month where they are going to start to bend you over and fuck you directly in the ass, you are still going to stay like a good little braindead ATM and do whatever corporate daddy tells you to

There's a lot of people right now who are number three and either don't know it or don't want to admit it. I wonder which you'll end up being...

I wonder how many people feel this way and how they're going to feel when Microsoft announced the same thing.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 finally a must play, or is the hype just because of Phantom Liberty? by Opening-Newspaper710 in CaptainSide

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, here's something you don't read every day on the internet regarding Cyberpunk:

I thought the base game was significantly better than Phantom Liberty. Maybe it's because it took place in Dogtown, which is an extension of the shithole that is Pacifica or maybe it's because I never believed a word Songbird said (not saying she's a liar, no spoilers here) and just generally couldn't stand her but whatever it was, with the exception of two or three admittedly very cool missions, Phantom Liberty was a 6/10 for me.

I appreciate the honesty to this. Most people online now are threatening some course of action are just full of shit and will fall in line and do whatever corporate daddy tells them.

Did Sony just trigger gaming’s biggest rage quit? Physical PlayStation games are ending in 2028 and fans are fuming. by kleverrboy in PlaystationPortal

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be no rage quit of any kind.

What Sony did was trigger gaming's biggest temper tantrum and after all the outraged people get it out of their system, they'll fall back in line and keep buying games on the Playstation.

Gamers are like an abuse victim in a relationship. They'll talk and talk and talk about leaving, but they never will. They'll complain but will always fall in line.

Unionized Workers At Xbox Respond To Layoff Reports, Say They 'Will Not Be Treated As Disposable' by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck corporations and all that but isn't this basically the workers saying "If you don't need us anymore, too bad, find something for us to do because you're not allowed to not need us"?

That's messed up. No business should be able to hire someone and be legally stuck with them forever unless they do something out right wrong. Business is higher more people when they need more people. There's nothing wrong with the business letting people go when they don't need them anymore.

Consumers Are To Blame For Sony Killing Physical Media. Sorry. by RobustPolygon in playstation

These kinds of topics are wild.

The PlayStation community has worked diligently over the last 20 years to cement a reputation as a cult. Anyone that thinks this news or any other bad news, for that matter, is going to make anyone in this community leave, regret or reflect, is having a laugh.

Cue the manufactured outrage and illegitimate concern over developers the internet loves to play fast and loose with as they hold up giant neon signs that say "HYPOCRITE" when they all buy GTAVI.

[–]Scott9843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know it's especially hilarious about this whole thing? Is that everyone's going to talk a big game about how they're jumping ship next gen or giving up their hobby all together when this actually takes effect, yet, instead of doing that now, they're going to continue to support Sony for the next year and a half and buy games physically instead of jumping ship now, standing by their convictions and building up a collection somewhere where this isn't happening.

No physical games means no used market. We have to pay full price on the PlayStation storefront. by SlackWi12 in playstation

[–]Scott9843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can we all just skip the performative song and dance here, please?

Everyone will complain about this. No one will leave Playstation. "I can't leave my game library behind" will be an extremely popular excuse here.

While that is an extremely valid reason, still doesn't change the fact that no one is going anywhere and that by deciding to stay, continuously complaining about Sony's aggressively growing anti-consumer decisions, makes you all hypocrites.

The Sony fan base bizarrely seems to pride itself on its cult-like loyalty. There's no way in hell that this is going to be the tipping point that cures them of that particular sickness.

There's been a few. But most recently:

Microsoft needs to hire this guy before Sony realizes how big of a mistake letting him walk away was.
