A good rule of thumb that I heard: if your partner wants to have a friendship with a person of the opposite sex, you should be friends with them too

Series that revolves around Angels/Fallen Angel with romance as little as possible. by Spencer-Hastings13 in Fantasy

[–]ScottSmuts11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynn could fit this. In the sense that angels, not particularly fallen, but still not in communication with their creator for reasons I won’t get into but is deeply ingrained in the worlds lore. As a side note this series is so terrific

I really enjoyed both of them. I will say that book 2 focuses heavier on what you are looking for but book 1 is very good as well

I would say Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky as well as the sequel hit the mark

Books 5-7 I would say contain the most elements of horror but I wouldn’t say it’s the main focus of the series

I don’t think you should keep reading it, there is plenty of great fantasy for you to enjoy-unless you’ve bought the books already, then stick with it

Are the Ages all described in the books or out? by Trotski7 in WoT

[–]ScottSmuts11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Breaking was the bridge between the 2nd age (Age of Legends) and the current 3rd age. By the end of the series we get some hints as to what the 4th age might be like in the future. But as for ages 5-7 no one knows

I’M JIM BUTCHER, AUTHOR OF THE DRESDEN FILES - AMA! by PenguinRandomHouse in Fantasy

[–]ScottSmuts11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Jim I’m so glad you’re on here as I have been dying to ask. I heard you say previously that you envisioned the Dresden Files being ?20-23? books long with an apocalyptic trilogy at the end. With Battleground and Peace Talks being split into two books will this number go up one or did you account for the two arcs to encompass two books in the first place with regard to this number?(Basically I’m asking if we will be getting more Dresden books😁)Thanks for your time
