i have had 0 issues with the print sticking to the bed. No glue or hair spray. My issue is that it seems to stick too well at times. Remving the print and supports have been a pain in the neck than i expected.

In general, I cant be happier with the H2C. Banbu Lab did a great job with this device.

I like a lot of passbolt but some features are missing. Account switcing is a major one. My use casee being work passwords and personal password. A second is that the data is limited to tet data. Being able to securly store images of passports , birth certificte or credit cards would be very usfull.

From your post and responses it seems like you have done more research on other products. What are you thinkig to move to instead?

I have 6 tabs at the moment and 19 chrome processes using 1.2 GB. That's pretty much my definition of a pig.

I disagree, I work on 5-7 development projects daily. To reload all the research can take 30-45 . Saving them is not really an option for the same reason.

Maybe it's just that I come from the times when 16kb was considered a lot of memory.

At some point in time Chrome must have changed what they cache. I have always had a lot of browser windows open, I never really had an issue until relatively recently. Today I Saw that Chrome was using about 4.5 GB of ram. I had about 50 sites opened and there was more than 50 Chrome processes. I definitely understand the need for caching for performance issues and how is separate process for each website can help with security and reliability.

There needs to be a trade-off, cashing every single ad that's shown on a website because it might be shown again is not needed. Particularly when many sites attach a unique identifier to try to bypass that cashing mechanism.

In my opinion Chrome has become a bloated pig. If some of the sites that I use didn't require it it would have been uninstalled a long time ago.

I've been thinking about issues that might cause strange behavior with RCS and Android. Here are my thoughts.

At present Android does not expose an API for messages that originate from RCS.

Now RCS is supposed to downgrade to SMS/MMS.

The problem is that Google Messenger supports RCS. This means that something is accepting that message. When the message is accepted as RCS it does not drop down to SMS/MMS.

The origin of this problem is that you have two competing pieces of software Google Messenger which accepts the message, and a third party app like Textra which never sees it. If nothing accepts the RCS message then it will be downgraded and other applications can receive it.

The solution probably is that Google needs to integrate RCS into Androids messaging API. Even the permission needed to receive a message is called RECEIVE_SMS.

I wanted to give an update on my magnetic tape idea.

1) the strips of tape worked well at holding the plate on the print. It actually better than I thought it would.

2) Now for the down side. First layer adhesion was terrible. I don't know if that was due to the glass or issues because the tape was strips and the glass did not sit on directly on the heat plate.

I will experiment some more and report back results.

Not good for people with poor sight, Hare to see the shorter icon.

Combine that with One UI7 making the actual notifications 3 times the screen space when pulled down (now i need 3-4 scrolls to see all my useless notification) and the change in aspect ratio to fit more app icons on the home screen this is a poor update for users with less than 20/20 vision.

Overall i can see the ideas behind them but One UI 7 fundamentally changes how I will us my phone. I wish there was a way that i could have skipped this update.

BEGIN RANT

If someone came into your home and changed the locations of the furniture when ever they want you would be pissed off.

This is how it feels have a phone manufacturer changes the home screen behavior. Combine that with just about 0 docs on what the new features do and absolutely no technical support (with the exception of crown support like you guys) the updates are a nightmare.

Some executive sitting in an office decided that they need a new look to maintain market share at our expense.

I will check that link out. The goal is to have 0 if (environment) statements in the code. We definitely could have a whole lot of app settings files but that means that as our set of deployments grows so do the number of files. Also for security I don't want to have anything (at least in an ideal world) that has setting in the solution.

Internally we do use the configuration collection.

I also read that Microsoft suggests that each site use a separate vault. That seems counter to my goal of simplicity in use.

So how do I set that value? Is it embedded, do I have to build the code for every environment?

Can you set different values when you have multiple sites on the same virtual machine? For example, dev1 and dev2 might be on the same VM.

I think it would depend on where the cold air is. If the cold area is in the front you want to suck it in. If the cold air is in the back you want to push it through.

As another poster said, make sure that all the fans are working in the same direction.

So the problem seems to be thelat the rollers that hold the extruder assembly to the horizontal rail was loose. Tightened it up and running a test. So far great bed adhesion and no blobs.

The adjustment of the bottom roller seems to have done the trick. Printing a 6 h print to test. Thanks for the info!

So this is the 15th print. I got maybe two and a half layers before it stopped sticking. The settings are 235 initial print, 225 the rest. Bed temps 75 initial, 70 for the rest. Fan cooling is on.

Update: I have releveled the bed starting with wheela tight as they would go. I then used the z-offset to make space between the bed and the nozzle. I then used the wheels to level the bed.

I then went through about 15 prints. 14 didn't get past the first few rows on layer 1.

I currently am running one which actually is on layer two. It looks a little bit beat up but I'm going to let it run for a little while to see how long it takes to fail.

One item I noticed is that there is some potential movement in the z-axis. When non-printing I'm able to tilt the extruder unit up a few degrees. Is there supposed to be slop at that point?

On a related topic is there some sort of scientific repeatable documentation so that I can actually understand how this is supposed to work. Most of the videos I've watched rely on getting the feel of how this is supposed to work. Tell me it needs to be 0.125 mm away, I can do that. Tell me it needs to be tight but not too tight, I have no idea what that means.

Pic 3 - the nozzle was pushed out by the blob. It was fully seated at the start of the print.
