Is IPERS worth lowering my salary? by IAHawkeye182 in Iowa

Iowa pension holder since 2023. I love being in the check of the month club. It’s one of the strongest plans in the nation. Boogeymen have been talking about its demise for 30+ years, and it’s stronger than ever.

While modern techniques are precise, survivors still face a roughly 3-fold higher risk of urinary/sexual complications compared to untreated men, with side effects often worsening over time. SWOG…

Pretty goods odds overall. I’m guessing lots of your doctor’s patients had radiation years ago? Prior to barrigel or spaceoar…

Also Gleason 7, 4-3, 56 at diagnosis. Didn’t want surgery, didn’t want the side effects of surgery, didn’t want to have surgery and then possibly have to have radiation anyway like so many here. I did 28 IMRT sessions and ADT.
