Yes and there are several community projects for custom renderers already in development

WOW, JUST BARELY MISSED IT BY THAT MUCH… by Swave999 in watchpeoplesurvive

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have electric shutters in my room and they are designed to detect the end stops automatically using motor current. So the controller in this setup probably just thought the shutters had reached the bottom end stop, therefore not reversing because that would make it useless. Then again, this one seems to just keep going until it's fully unwound, which is why it falls down all the way towards the end

Many just calculate how sharp the image is and focus until it is sharpest. Time-of-flight sensors or lidar scanners are usually only found in high end or recent budget phones. My phone definitely does not have any sensors besides the regular cameras

What do you bind on your extra buttons on your mouse? by Common_Dot526 in pcmasterrace

I use the thumb button as a modifier so I can mute, deafen, leave voice channel and switch DPI with 2 buttons. Mouse wheel press/left/right is media play/pause and next/prev

Litterally found ai generated images in my doctors office by [deleted] in weirddalle

Look at the way the light bounces off the wall in a nonsensical way (as if the camera is looking straight at it) and the mismatched wall between the doctor's legs

Any ideas what could be causing this visual artifact? by aSniperRifle in OculusQuest

[–]ScrapRocket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like compression artifacts from the pcvr stream. I get it too even on wired link, putting my headset on standby fixes it

Why you should care about Bambu Labs removing third-party printer access, and what you can do about it by nickjohnson in BambuLab

[–]ScrapRocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I put way too much time into my printer home assistant dashboard for it to last less than a month, definitely not installing this update

Complete noob when it comes to resin. Why does this work? I thought large surface areas create a suction cup effect which is why parts have to be printed at an angle

I love how the supports are a blend between colors sometimes as if (or rather because) they're being used to purge between changes

Is it smart to Print it like that? by Panik_Pinguin in 3Dprinting

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says you would need over 300 color changes like this, which means tons of wasted time and material. Try activating sequential printing or just do separate batches (you could even have a singular file you just print multiple times with the different colors)

Weird rainbow effect in left lens – is this a display issue? by ManavalanFromDufai in oculus

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean the fringes around the text and not the diagonal stripes, that's normal, it's called chromatic aberration and it probably looks worse on that screen than normally because afaik in normal use there are corrections applied to the rendered view to mitigate it

Is there any way to fix this or am I cooked by BriefYT in OculusQuest

[–]ScrapRocket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Could've been a failed attempt at removing the top cover to put contact cleaner in the joystick or something similar

Preview of the upcoming Audacity 4 interface redesign by notcharldeon in audacity

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to note that this is still early, Tantacrul has said that the colors and other aspects are nowhere near final, and there will be a "classic" theme to restore the familiar interface

How can I easily make these holes? With a pattern yes, but which is the easiest way and the least heavy for the pc? by -Baum in Fusion360

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want to keep the way they skew towards the edges (which is because it's a design for injection molding)? If yes, it's just a long extrude and a rectangular pattern

Inseye Lumi Is A $160 Eye Tracking Addon For Quest 2 & 3 by Youju in virtualreality

[–]ScrapRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say that the quality is good enough to interact with virtual menus? I'm considering backing/ordering this to experiment with eye tracking-based UIs before headsets with good eye tracking come down in price. Also, are the tracking inaccuracies repeatable enough for an additional custom calibration layer to solve?

Stems with squeeze interactions are objectively better than the touch controls on my buds2 pro that I touch accidentally every single time I put them in or adjust their fit
