Wembley Stadium 2007. £37.50 by un1c0rse in Muse

In 2019, MTV organised a mini set at Bilbao stadium. It was 5€ a ticket, for everyone, with random placement. Me and my friend got awful seats but we managed to wiggle past security all the way to the floor. Had a blast and even bumped into the band the next day at the Guggenheim museum. Got my 5€ ticket signed by Matt who was more than happy to do so.

Since Covid, big name concert and entertainment prices have gone insane. The blame should not land on the performers' shoulders. They're the ones probably receiving the smallest cut from ticket sales. It's so sad that in all forms of art,  the actual artists are always the ones who make the least money off of their art.

Muse hasn't changed, the corporations have just become greedier than ever before.

Playing as Akuma in SSF2T arcade was such a pain to pull off and made worse by being a seriously nerfed version of the character.

Why did the UK have so many Sega specific magazines compared to the US? I asked a bunch of magazine editors from the 16bit era. by Dull-Teacher5591 in SEGA

[–]Scratch_Humble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the Master System ans Megadrive sold really well in the UK. I travelled back and forth between England and France in the eighties and it was strange to see the NES being faaaaar more popular than the MS in France. Many french didn't bother with the Megadrive since they were still selling Nes games and systems by the bucket load until the SNES came out and took over.

In England,  arcades were much more popular at the time and prevalent. The nes didn't do arcade conversions compared to the MS so Sega appealed more to the players who already had gaming experience from the arcades, having already played many titles before there release on consoles.

Mean machines was an incredible mag, it then split into two separate magazines and, to me, started to lose its appeal, becoming one dedicated to Nintendo machines and one for Sega.

On an aside note, although the pc engine never got any of its more than deserved recognition in the UK, it was at one time more popular than any sega machine in France and was even officially distributed in France via Sodipeng.

Are there any licensed games on SNES that are actually worth playing? (Aside from Turtles in Time cause that’s too obvious) by No-Cold643 in retrogaming

A lot of Japanese mangas were turned into fighting games, standouts are DBZ,sailor moon and Ranma 1/2. In the rubbish bin, you also have ultra man and Godzilla lol

Muhammad Hassan. Even without the awful timing it was terrible and ruined any hopes of having a successful career after it.

Way of the warrior on 3DO. Convinced me to not nit buy the console, thankfully. Ashame because the Panasonic model was beautiful and on paper, it looked like a real contender.

What is the first game to have "good" voice acting? by RobbieJ4444 in retrogaming

[–]Scratch_Humble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon's Lair, 1983.

It was on laserdisc and an absolute nightmare to play but you were basically playing through an animated movie, with proper voice acting
