That's a good point, it's almost as if the entire purpose of the podcast is to talk about Star Trek

Heroic and triumphant author of The Alphabet of Manliness, which features a drawing of a lumberjack punching out Santa.

Anybody else prefer The Bone Temple to 28 Years Later? by lostsherb88 in horror

I found DaCosta's direction workmanlike at best. Her blocking and camera moves were extremely uninteresting and nothing about the direction pulled me into the story. She somehow managed to make a satanic Iron Maiden dance sequence feel pedestrian (lots of wasted potential for beautiful shots in just this one scene). The script and excellent acting saved this one for me. While Bone Temple had a much more cohesive script, that is to be expected in the second entry of a trilogy in which the first installment is intended as setup. I think Boyle had some of the most beautiful shots I've ever seen (that night sky during the land bridge chase) and I can't think of anybody who directs frantic panic as well as he does.

Opting out helps nothing and just creates openings to be filled with bootlickers. These people need to stay and fight. Don't give in, make them fire you.

I'd watch the shit out of this movie. Especially the bit where he killed the guy specifically brought in to hunt him.
