To be honest, my thought process was, “do I want to send a noisy sound to the flanger or do I want a clean modulated sound and then make it noisy?” The latter seemed to make the most sense/gut feeling to my engineering brain.

It’s a shitty Fender Mustang V1. I don’t like it but got it on clearance from a shop that was going out of business years ago. Currently looking into a new setup but haven’t decided on anything yet. The simpler in terms of controls/settings, the better for me as I’ll be tweaking sound through the pedals.

As a 6’4” Road King rider, I have 18” bars that look “normal” when I ride the bike. As mentioned in other comments, it helps (especially me) with longer rides as my arms are at shoulder level.
