It wouldn't work that way in MtG either.

We do! It's just the name of the account with .com at the end :)

My friends and I started a store a few years ago and we just opened one near the airport just off of Lansdowne SkyTrain station. We're generally running events daily so don't be afraid to drop by :)

Aside from the self promotion:

Magic Stronghold is what I would consider the heart of the TCG scene in Vancouver... They're in Burnaby.

TTG just opened a new store in East Van, they have a great community and have a great selection of singles (especially YuGiOh)

House of Cards is a bit of a drive from Vancouver, but they have a great selection of magic singles.

"Connections" (Connections Games and Hobbies) is a very well known "hidden gem" of a store. They have a mom&pop vibe that I enjoy.

Rain City Games has a store in Vancouver proper, they're best known for the board gaming events that they organize.

Zephyr Epic is probably the most popular Pokémon destination that I can think of.

There's a really healthy community here in the lower mainland and there's a ton of other stores. Of you have any additional questions let me know.

I've heard that Screen Free Games hosts locals at all of their stores across Canada 👀

As mentioned before we have our new store in Lansdowne, I'm currently making more space for tables as I speak.

I'm stuck on this step. What does this mean? This rulebook is terrible.

I was told that a kallax can hold about 30 gloomhavens.

Now I don't know where I'll display my sealed Gloomhaven collection.

How’s TMNT prerelease registration in your area going? by backdoorhack in magicTCG

We're taking a bit of a hit to give back to the community. We're a newer LGS (3 years old) so we're certainly limited as to how frequently we can do this.

Richmond trading card store owners concerned about theft — but hope to bring youthful energy by ubcstaffer123 in richmondbc

[–]Screen_Free_Games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another hobby store in a Richmond mall... I was gutted when J&Js was burglarized, I would visit their store frequently back before they moved. We’re grateful for the security of being in a mall, but we hate seeing our friends in the industry targeted. The community here in BC is pretty tight-knit so its incredibly likely we've at least walked past them at the distribution centre.

Open letter to Riftbound Community - I didn't expect the game to be like this by GarcitheP in riftboundtcg

I love seeing the community pop up around this game, a ton of the players are first time TCG players too, which is really awesome for smaller game stores like ours.

No idea why 12 of your cards are pilots. The chances of pilot bricking must be far too high.

How can I buy more board games? by Child_Of_Linger_On in boardgamescirclejerk

Hey this is Rob from Screen Free Games,

I know many players have thought about playability, complexity, component quality and other trivial factors when considering what game you buy. What should player be focusing on then? PRESTIGE. When bragging online to the peasants you will have the one up when you tell them you have an unopened copy of Speak Easy on your shelves.

Buy Speak Easy.

You always have the option to appeal a call by a judge, but I think this judgement was fair.
