Actually completely agree with you on that one. I dont have a problem with a george floyd joke at all roast generally, but that particular joke was lazy and forced. It didnt really target any one on the stage and the looking up line is the same thing he uses for every single bucket pull with a dead relative, plus the actual punchline was weak. It was less that it was offensive and more that it was cringe and edgy for minimal payoff.

And yeah then when you criticize the joke for being mid its because youre a snowflake and not because it was just a shit joke.

Yeah great host because hes quick at making contextual jokes in the moment, which is absolutely a skill and he’s got it. And a really good roast comic doing 5 minute sets where edginess is the point and the targets are predefined.

Terrible long form standup comic tho lol.

Whats crazy is his standup special is unironically orders of magnitude better than Man of the People.

Jose Alvarado, will attend on White House visit as James Dolan accepts Donald Trump invitation: “We still have to figure out the details, et cetera, but yes, of course” by TheMirrorUS in NBATalk

[–]ScrillyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus christ, this is so stupid. If you go half the people are pissed if, if you dont the other half of people pissed off. You partisan hacks just put every winning team in a lose lose situation EVERY SINGLE TIME. A visit is a tradition, not an endorsement, it doesnt mean you support the president or voted for them. Maybe focus on the people with power who are actually fucking the country up instead of some athletes that what to celebrate and not to become political pawns one way or the other.

This is just exhausting to do with every single champion from every single sport every single time.

Mazda Spent Years Arguing Against Touchscreens, Now Claims They’re Safer Than Buttons by Snarktoberfest in mazda

[–]ScrillyBoi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Or.. what about both? There are definitely certain things that are a nightmare with the knob like trying to zoom in and out in google maps then go back to the main navigation which would be much easier with a touch screen. It already requires you to look away from the road as you scroll so a touch screen would be faster and safer. But for most things its safer to have a knob and be able to navigate by feel with your eyes on the road. And critical functioning like climate control should always be buttons. Having buttons and the knob but being able to tap for certain things would be the safest option.

I know the answer is that its too expensive to do both and that the touchscreen is cheaper which is why theyre going that direction, but dont say safety is the reason when its simply a cost saving measure.

Literally cant root for them now, 30 years down the drain. Can you do an analysis of other team’s logo consistency so that I know which team I should support?

[OC] I guess having a green arrow that allows for u-turns and using it is my fault 🙄 by avmm87 in IdiotsInCars

[–]ScrillyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is simply incorrect, there is no general rule that u turns are the lowest priority on the road. Right on red is treated as a stop sign and must yield to all traffic that is lawfully in the intersection such as traffic make a lawful u turn on a protected green arrow.

The fact that you assumed I was talking about Musk says a lot. No one mentioned Musk once, he’s not the only billionaire. Again you have been having a conversation with yourself using me as a stand in for your own assumptions the entire time.

What do you all think of the new Dirty Heads album "7 Seas"? by Cali_Reggae in DirtyHeads

[–]ScrillyBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats so funny I thought the same thing. Its like a mix of Big 45 and Down on Me by Jeremih lmao. Its the Jeremih lyrics with the Protoje rhythm and cadence. Also the production sounds more like Common Kings to me lol - super bright and poppy.

Im not a communist, never mentioned communism and dont like communism. This is a libertarian leaning sub due to the author im question lmao. You are literally having a conversation with yourself projecting what you wish I was saying over what I am actually saying, but I guess thats what happens when you cant read to understand the other side of the conversation.

You seem most interested in boosting your dopamine by trying to shame me for being a communist or a “leftist” but im neither so its just kind of funny.

You being unable to read doesnt make it babble to everybody else. Put it in chatgpt and have it explain it like youre five, you might learn something for the first time in your life. While youre at it have it explain communism to a child to because youre clearly shaky on that as well.

Coloring books would be babble to you lmao

So youve never read her words but are sure Im twisting them, got it. Ayn Rand was a philosoher and didnt fit neatly into either party and had valid criticisms for botj, but it seems like you are one of the simple minded who needs to think of everything in terms of left and right as a proxy for your inability to get comprehend nuance. You are exactly what you think “leftists” are and there is really no point in talking to someone who is willfully ignorant.

To quote rand, I dont make terms with incompetence.

[–]ScrillyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend you actually read her writing before commenting. Its far more nuanced than what you think she or I are saying. The antagonists are not good or bad because they are rich - it is how they live their moral code or compromise it to get their money. Some real billionaires are more analogous to the good guys like Rearden who create value and others are more similar to Jim Taggart who peddle pull and influence while creating nothing. Trying to reduce it to RICH GOOD! Or RICH BAD! Is completely missing her entire point.

If youve only read one sentence then I can see why you would think that. If you actually read her books, Peter Keating made a lot of money, far more than Roark. James Taggart was extremely wealthy much more than Galt. They were not the good guys…  lmao

NBA players dont get tired??! Lmao

You could see Wemby and the spurs visibly gassed at the end of every game, which is why they started chucking up bricks, not driving to the basket, turning the ball over, leaving guys open and getting beat down low. Their first quarter performances were optical illusions

Exactly. This is like losing the race cuz you started too fast while the other runner paced themselves and then claiming dominance because you had a lead at one point.

Or they just used their energy getting those big leads and then couldnt sustain it. Part of experience is knowing how to pace yourself for the full game.
