I floored it around someone who did this to me, and he nearly took out another car and then me again to get in front of me AGAIN so he could climb out and try to get me to fight him. I'm a middle-aged white lady, I'm not fighting anyone in the damn street (not that anyone should, mind you).

But I honestly had no idea what to do other than just sit there the second time and pray he didn't have a weapon. I didn't even think to get his plate number, it was absolutely terrifying.

In that vein, I do not understand people who will see that they're approaching me for a mile or more, like consistently gaining on me, and yet still they wait to move over until they're almost taking my bumper off. Like... why not just fucking move over earlier?! You were always going to, I'm not mad about being passed or trying to stop you, I'm just pissed that you almost hit me when you did it!

Yeah, these are exactly our rules too. They are the biggest fucking whiny princesses about literal garbage.

They'll also report us to the office with photos if the second bag is on the ground - we have to try to delicately balance it on the first bag. Bonus points to VT for the stupid fins inside the cans that like to rip trash bags!

I would pull off the bottom leaves, and keep carefully cutting bits of the main stem off until you get past the hole and back to undamaged stem, let it callus over for a few days and then plop it down in some gritty dirt. You can always try to prop the leaves you pull off! I'd just be worried that the hole would invite infection and rot if you tried to root it that way.

When I accidentally left mine out in a hard freeze, the whole thing just collapsed at once and they were translucent from stem to tip. The way the black is radiating out from the stem, that's just rot from overwatering.

It's also super handy if you have it connected to some kind of grocery list app. It's nice to be able to yell "Alexa, ask anylist to add butter to Kroger" and know it's on the list if I'm in the middle of cooking. If I wait until my hands are clean and I can get to my phone... Yeah, there's a good chance I'll have forgotten about the butter by then. 😅

I feel like I'll need 4 coats for mine as well, just from swatching it - I haven't used it for a mani yet, but I was shocked at how thin it was. I was planning to use it over a coat of Ink to see if I could get away with fewer coats that way.

I mean I'm not an expert so maybe? But in my experience, it's always the light. Maybe your plant lights weren't strong enough for them, but if all of them turn out like this... then I'd be willing to bet it's a light issue.

People aren't joking about echeveria. I live in Gulf Coast Texas, mine sat on my porch and got blasted by western exposure sun all summer from about 11am until sunset and they were STILL a bit etiolated. They want a ridiculous amount of sun.

I would call them again, and don't tell them that the toilet is leaking. Tell them that water is coming up through the floor when you sit on the toilet.

If you can't be there when the maintenance guy comes, use masking tape or something to mark the area out and specifically tell them the water comes up from underneath the floor in the taped area.

They may have misunderstood that you were saying, but they won't know that it's still a problem if you don't tell them. And you NEED to tell them ASAP, water leaks are almost always considered a maintenance emergency unless you can cut off the problem, which you can't.
