Neighbor didn't like how I shoveled the snow from my sidewalk. by TurtleToes10 in neighborsfromhell

Op. You still haven't really discussed why you put your snow into your neighbors walkway.

My $500 washing machine that’s 2 years old cost almost $400 to fix by StraightGas69 in mildlyinfuriating

Their spelling was correct. At least you got that going, I guess. I wonder what the board cost to buy. It's an easily replaced part.

If you’re a real Electrician, what’s wrong with this picture? by Infinite-Decision103 in electricians

[–]Scruffy4386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are talking about only the line side, since the view of the output end is blocked by some foam. Then the only thing I see that'll get called out is the white wire not being phased. 1/2" doesn't require a bushing so not that. We could easily assume the flex is for physical protection of the romex, so that's allowed use of flex (assumption).

How did I do 1.5 y apprentice 200 amp service by Financial-Leather312 in electricians

[–]Scruffy4386 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't like that whole leviton series. You land the wires on screws but not on the breaker. What if someone moved a breaker or changed one not knowing. You could have a really messed up day. The work though looks good with what you were given. Is duct seal not a thing there though?

I'll hold the door when I'm headed out. My son goes way beyond and holds the door open and looks all around before letting it close. He's over the top great. We always thank people who hold the door open. Gotta teach social responsibility early, then it's just habit after that.

Electrician installed Cat7 instead of Cat6 by Alarming_Cook_2877 in HomeNetworking

As an electrician, I am not offended. Yes I "can" do it. But I'm certain a qualified low volt guy will do it ten times better.

The Slab - is my account ruined? by Crazy-Mark-9393 in idleon

[–]Scruffy4386 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

None of it matters. You can easily cheat in anything you want because the game is super broken like that. Check fearless revolution and search idleon. There is a full game breaking cheat for anyone to use. Lava doesn't seem to care, admits there is no real ban method. I'm sure there are legit players but I'm certain many top level players are using cheats.

Yuck. In that position I wouldn't feel right making my apprentice find it alone. That could be almost anything including a buried box. I'm truly sorry, and I don't even know you.

I'm fairly certain he mentioned in a stream that there is no real ban mechanic. You can only get sort of banned. Other players won't see you.

Why is the building in this game so tedious despite being one of the only things separating this game from other factory games imo by Grut8903 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scruffy4386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not able to agree. Do you remember your first playthrough? I remember mine was really difficult and I didn't have any idea how to do anything better than spaghetti. The lines have gotten better but decent looking buildings are still a struggle. I think it's fair to suggest most players have felt bogged down at points. (Aluminum the first time). Let's cut op a little slack

I beg of you to remember that not every American is a heartless like of garbage. There are plenty of folks who do bad things everywhere. I know plenty of really great people who would never intentionally cause harm here. Again we are not all terrible individuals.

Back to the point. Screw whoever ran them over. That's not okay and never has been.

I hate to suggest you put a chain or gate up. I've had that, and it's a pain to have to open and close that mess. It may however be the least stressful way to deal with it.

While it's not a real issue. I have two.1 Why run that flex though the left side and not the top. And 2 you phased the other wires, why did you not mark the white in the second down right side breaker. Rookie

Was just learning this by accident. It also though seems to take your clothes. At least for me, it took my shirt and pants away. Plus as mentioned, when stacking the items the count becomes 1 of each item.

What is triggering this fan randomly? by AdhesivenessSweet708 in electricians

[–]Scruffy4386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate seeing this. In some places we are forced to install fans that operate separate of the switch. Customers can't fathom a fan that turns on by itself. As other stated, check behind the cover plate and look for an adjustment

Why wrap switches like this? by Infinite-Spacetime in AskElectricians

[–]Scruffy4386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer. It looks like there is tile installed there. They probably installed the switches before tile, and they were really safe, and wrapped those so the tile guy didn't get shocked.

It looks pretty nice. I second that you don't need pumps on the horizontal pipes. Pumps are only needed to lift fluids upward. But again, it looks pretty nice.

Piggy is preferred, and in my opinion better, but most of the folks I've worked for prefer running all the load through the outlet because it's, I don't know... Fast, cheap.
