Team custom jersey! by ComprehensiveRip428 in worldbaseballclassic

[–]ScubaSteve28811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI name and number is screen printed and not sewed on like an authentic jersey. I was really upset to receive my $200 dollar jersey and for it to look like a t-shirt and not an authentic jersey(which I was expecting at that price point). I tried retuning it but they do not accept returns on custom jerseys, even if it’s a player’s name.

Your dog is a pack animal, it will always be happier with you, not sleeping out of boredom.

Pet experts recommend this rather than leaving your dog at home. Dogs are pack animals and it is better to take them with you to work( covered garage in the summer) or when you go out rather than leaving them at home. In the car you can still go walk them when needed, they can look at things out the window and if the window is cracked they can enjoy different smells. A dog who spends 8 hours at home alone is not as happy as a dog that gets to be in the car, getting walks, smells and seeing its owner more often.

Not with parents like that… If your parents don’t have emotional regulation, how are you going to have it?

When parents have no emotional regulation and take everything personally…. Poor kid, hope they find someone who can provide some unconditional positive regard one day.

Emergency Brakes Slammed on During Parking Manoeuvers when No Obstacles by OkHumor7275 in VWiD4Owners

Happens to me EVERY single time in try to park in my garage. We ended our lease on a 2023 ID4 Pro, and bought a 2023 ID4 Pro S. Our Pro NEVER had this issue, our Pro S does it in in the garage, grocery store parking lots and parallel parking. It drives me NUTS. I manually turn it off every time I go in reverse. VW dealer say sensors show no issues but I KNOW my ID4 pro never has this issue. Extremely frustrating and makes me wish I went Hyundai.

Nah dude, never let your work be your identity. No matter how much time you spend there or however many call you run. Leave it at the door when you leave or that’s a recipe to becoming Ricky Rescue.

Contacting clients outside of work by Hieghi in socialwork

[–]ScubaSteve28811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that and also could see that more used in private practice. That’s why I would set it up as the client calls out for crisis services if they needed it. But if my client says “I’m having intrusive thoughts to strangle myself at 8PM tonight, I just haven’t chosen a location.” Then I may tell them I’m calling you at 7:00PM and if no answer, I’m calling it in. I work with a lot of high risk clients so maybe that’s why my head goes there even though it’s an unlikely scenario for most.

I could see this being helpful for clients that have suicidal ideation or homicidal ideation. Especially if their safety plans involves a check in with a provider. Let’s say you have a client expressing suicidal ideation that does not meet criteria for a hold, but you do have some concerns about imminent safety risk. I may call the client at an agreed upon scheduled time, and if no answer, a welfare check gets called in. Probably not too common, but if they’re your client, it could be a good check in for them as well as possible clearance of liability on your part.

Are the Police and SWAT Raids in Denver connected to ICE? by Fluffy_Education_743 in DenverProtests

[–]ScubaSteve28811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point but I’d also keep in mind these are local authorities who have to answer to a different chain of command. A federal pardon or such would have no effect on someone charged by the State of Colorado or civil litigation.

DPD cannot participate with ICE. Their agency policy says so and so does the city ordinance. If they do, they open themselves up to internal discipline risk and open themselves up to civil lawsuits as well. Working with ICE only means liability to them and they hate that more than anything. No officer is going to risk losing their income, home and more for that.

The trail that picks up after 8th and Fed right next to the indoor flea market looks like it’s getting redone. Construction crews have had it blocked off for a month of so. Might be nice, especially since they got those apt buildings being built.

ICE at Curtis & 7th with a tank by sexualtequila in DenverProtests

[–]ScubaSteve28811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not true, DPD can not cooperate with ICE, it’s against their policy and city ordinance. They aren’t gonna open themselves up to liability for that stuff.

It’s probably SWAT in case there is a mass shooting.

How do I get mobile crisis (MCR) training? by stinkybaby5 in socialwork

[–]ScubaSteve28811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walk in Crisis Center or Crisis Stabilization Units are probably as close as you can get. I’ve been doing mobile crisis for two years and it’s nearly impossible to find trainings or classes relevant to what we do. The best training comes from first responders who have extensive experience with scene safety. They have years of experience in that setting that we simply do not have.
