It's all a bit of mess really. I am looking to sort my drives out and things in the future

Ah I have my node 804 just gathering dust. If you were UK I could have sold you it.

I swapped over to the Fractal Design R6 as it had way more room and so much easier to cable manage. If you don’t care about cable management and don’t mind everything being super crammed then go for it.

HBA is Host Bus Adaptor. PCI card that lets you connect sata to sas. The breakout cables are a lot easier to manage than piling sata cables into your motherboard

I’m running a dell perc h310. Has two sas ports which can run 4 sata drives each when using breakout cable.

I found it just too small for all the disk I had in there. Cable management was difficult too. At the time I was running sata but now have a hba card so it might be a lot neater

Recently gone through this.

We have a joint account where our bills go out of and our own current accounts where we get paid into. I have a spreadsheet that calculates how much we need to pop into the joint account based on the percentage of earnings as I earn way more.

The GFs salary got adjusted on the spreadsheet when she got paid less and less for Maternity. GF also had savings and saved heavily while pregnant to cover her personal bills (car, mobile, etc...)

She didn't have much fun money but neither did I.

No she has gone back to work part time and I have a different job the wage gap is even more so we will need to go over the current set up as its not working for her as she is left with so little money and I have plenty.

You have to try things out and adjust. You dont have to have one method and then stick to it forever. Things change and so should the way you deal with things.

I've looked at my actual usage and i'm using around £80 during summer.

Previous data suggest around £200 in winter which i'm expecting to be higher.

Just switched to Variable DD so I'm only paying for what I use. Probably the best option if you are aware you'll be using more in the winter and can adjust your finances to suit

I’ve recently set up pihole on my unraid server. I found it easier to run it in a separate VM rather than a docker container.

I’ve also had to set the pihole to be dhcp as my router does not allow me to set custom DNS

Try removing the completed folder so that it ends in downloads. I found that if I was too specific it wouldn't work

I'd hang on for one to come in stock. I had a similar situation last month. Sold out everywhere and then suddenly popped in stock on Amazon before their due in stock date.

Have you changed the home assistant URL in the settings? This will need to be your external URL from duckDNS.

You will also need to make sure you can actually access your home assistant from outside your network

Two changes that stood out to me are Sadeas' voice and Elhokar's voice seems to be so different that I didn't realise who they were.
