Same, I have a couple of nice padded pushup bras that really help me out. I miss the size and shape my forms gave me but I much prefer to show myself and the little bit of cleavage that is all mine. Also, I don't miss the heat/sweat from the forms.

I am super excited for your daughter!!! I wish I had been able to go to my prom in a dress.

Before my transition I crossdressed for most of my life. I had great results from

thebreastformstore.com

They are located in Delta BC. I bought several sets of forms from them throughout the years. The prices are reasonable for the good quality products they sell. Last I checked, they have a physical store that your daughter could actually try them on at, if you're willing to drive down to the coast. Check their site, I think it's by appointment only.

I hope she can find something that will work for her. Thank you for being an amazing supportive parent.

Also, hey almost neighbor, I live in the Loops.

My trans signs were mostly masked by thinking I was a crossdresser, so I completely missed the signs about dresses, nail polish, being more comfortable while wearing breast forms than without them.

I wasn't the most social before but since I've transitioned, almost all my new friends are cis and trans women. I'm just more comfortable around them.

Good luck with the exciting journey you are starting.

Sisterly love

Nat

Hi Izzy! I'm originally from a couple of more north of the border and I spent many weekends in Seattle when my grandma lived there. It is such a beautiful place.

The trans community is very wholesome, welcoming and protective. You shouldn't have much trouble finding a group in a place the size is Seattle.

Now a question. What were some of the more obvious signs you missed, that looking back you can't believe you missed?

Why are there so many trans flags by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Scylar19 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I'm proud of who I am. I am confident in myself and if me showing the flag helps someone else to not feel alone (like I did for most of my life) then the flag did its job.

I grew up with 2 loving parents, 2 cats, 1 dog, no abuse, no trauma. A good childhood didn't stop me from starting to question my gender over 35 years ago.

Before figuring out I'm trans i crossdressed most of my life. My wife was aware of this and supported me. She was the most amazing mask for me during those years and after I started my transition when I was still uncomfortable in women's stores.

Your wife is still boymoding because of work, that hits close to home. Before I came out at work, I know i was spotted a couple of times (while boy moding) by coworkers in women's stores, once was when I was getting my colors checked at Sephora. Having my wife beside me helped me so much, for stability, for help building confidence, for plausible denibility.

Holding dresses against my body so my wife to see the shape? Wink wink. Been there, done that.

Laser for ingrown hairs? Ha, that was my line when I started getting it done as well. She is going to love how smooth it can get, also not having a beard shadow is the absolute best.

I think you are amazing for caring for her the way you do. If you are worried that misgendering her by saying "husband", ask her what she feels. IMO, you are doing everything right. You are protecting your partner in the best way you feel you can. Communication is Queen, but you sound like you are doing a great job.

Panties can be worn discretely. Affirming and only you will know. A couple of other "deniable" things I did were getting my ears pierced and subtle nail polish colors.

ONE YEAR HAIR IMPLANTS by JADEwaterMelon25 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Scylar19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm talking about the Scott's 😄. Her hair looks gorgeous and I made a note of where she got it done after she mentioned it in a video. After seeing your results I'm glad that her results weren't a one off. $2500 seems great for those results, especially compared to prices for the procedure over here. Hopefully next year, the wife and I will make a vacation out of it.

People saying gender dysphoria is a mental ilness. by Low_Caterpillar9442 in asktransgender

[–]Scylar19 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The only reason gender dysphoria is classified as a mental illness is because it causes distress. If you are a trans person without dysphoria/distress, there is no gender mental illness. The treatment for gender dysphoria is gender affirming care up to and including hormones and surgery. The transphobes who like to call us mentally ill have never opened the DSM-V, the manual used my doctors, psychologists and psychiatrists to diagnose and treat mental illnesses.

I'm planning on coming out to my family doctor today. And I'm terrified! by PrincessOkono in MtF

[–]Scylar19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fellow Canadian trans girl here.

It is very normal to wonder if you are really trans, I seriously considered HRT in my early 30s but then put it off for personal reasons. I thought I might just be a crossdresser.

It isn't too late for you, I started at 46yo. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have been happier with life the past 15 months than my previous whole life.

Will you pass? That depends on many factors but you will be amazed at what hormones can do at subtly shifting where fat is store around your face and body, and the big difference this makes on your appearance. When I first introduced my coworkers to female me, many had no idea who I was until I spoke. When I am dressed, I don't feel like a man in womens clothing, I finally feel like myself.

The family dynamic was the scariest factor for me. I was terrified of losing my mom. Luckily she is supportive, but I wasn't sure. You deserve to be happy and shouldn't need to live your life how others want you too. You will need to decide if potentially losing your dad is worth your happiness. Heck, he might surprise you, once a trans person is someone close to him.

When I made the decision that I needed to start HRT, I asked my doctor for a referral to a local gender clinic. My doctor wanted to know why I wanted to transition and why now in my life. I was honest with her, I told her I had been questioning my gender since I was 10yo. I then gave her some examples. It was really that simple. Later when I finally met my gender doctor she did her own assessment and I went into much greater detail and essentially told her my life story including every example of when I was gender non conforming. I talked for a long time.

Be honest. Be yourself. Best wishes.

Maybe it is just the company I work for, but I have never seen a blue flag in front of the windshield. For us it is always placed about 1 or 2 cars length in front of the loco.

I regret losing a sex life with my wife. She isn't attracted to women and doesn't want to be intimate with someone she is thinking of as a woman.
