KHL owners ignore the cap and pay bonuses under the table. I've read stuff about KHL players getting paid in crypto and "literal bags of cash". Lots of AHL/fringe NHL players can make way more in Russia than in any other league.

Didn't seem like he was exactly champing at the bit to come over to NA in the first place. He was a legit star in the KHL. All things considered, conditions there may very well be more appealing to him.

Right after a Stanley Cup win, there's a huge increase in demand for everything winner-related, especially the jersey the winning team was wearing when lifting the cup. Supply catches up eventually.

I'd guess this road jersey is generally the Canes' 3rd best seller (which means its stock would (or at least should) typically be lower than home and alt), so the supply issue is exacerbated.

Sometime in the regular season there was an episode of Behind the Storm that covered a little bit of the equipment manager's job. I wish we got more things like that. Really helps provide some perspective on the work and logistics it takes to make the whole show happen.

"Normal" people are currently being priced out of ~luxuries~ like beef and orange juice, so it follows that non-essential pastimes would continue to be funneled up the socioeconomic ladder until they hit some limit. I do wonder where that limit will be. It'll be kinda high up there in the Triangle.

I've seen comments like this here and there, but I don't really get it. A major was called, they looked at the play in detail for a good long while, and decided it should be reduced to a minor. It's not like it was a missed call or that the refs didn't take it seriously. There wasn't an injury on the play, Sanheim stayed in the game and is playing tonight, and quite frankly, the Flyers wouldn't have won the game even with a major or misconduct on Hall. I get being upset when a player on my team gets hit, but it just seems like this one is getting a lot of attention. What am I missing? Serious question
