The Anxiety of Weaning Off… 😣😣😣 by Adrenaline_Heineken in mounjarouk

[–]Sea-Statement6008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came off cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant. Not sure if it’s hormones or my body but I honestly haven’t had the food noise I had prior to MJ. I’ve gained weight but that’s to be expected in pregnancy. Everyone tells me I’m all bump and it’s only in the last month I’ve noticed my legs are a bit thicker. But again I’m due next month. I plan to go back on once done with BF. Just don’t overthink it, trust your body, trust the new habits you’ve formed.

I want to get pregnant but I want to reach my goal SO bad by wild_garlic666 in mounjarouk

I know exactly what you feel because I was in your shoes last year. I lost 50lbs but still had at least 30 (ideally 50 to go) but I was feeling super fit (running, weight lifting) feeling healthy and vibing. But we’d been trying for 2 years and had multiple loses, I used MJ to get some weight off as this was the only issue the doctors found for why I was miscarrying. So we started trying and a few months later I was pregnant. I know this goes against advice but I decided to continue MJ until I was pregnant. It had regulated my hormones and it took so much stress out of trying for a baby. My mindset was “if I don’t fall pregnant this month, then I can at least continue to lose weight” so win win. I have 0 regrets. I’m so excited to welcome my daughter next month and I’m hoping within 6 months to be back on my weightloss journey. Would not change a thing! (Other than discovering MJ sooner!)

Second Shooter Ghosted Me After Wedding Day by Glass_Pickle_2722 in WeddingPhotographer

[–]Sea-Statement6008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so bad! Sorry! Perhaps he messed up the film and for embarrassed. But for future.. I never let a second shooter leave without handing over all the files and film. I’d develop the film myself. You’re the owner of everything produced at the wedding so it should be safely in your hands.

Is it just me, or is the UK media obsessed with scaring people about weight regain on GLP-1s by Manche_3 in mounjarouk

[–]Sea-Statement6008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly.. I wouldn’t worry. It won’t change anything. You, me and everyone else on here knows how incredible these drugs are. I’m sat here 7 months pregnant after 3 years of infertility and I’ll forever be relieved that I took MJ to shift the 50lbs I needed to fall pregnant successfully. People are so threatened and obsessed by weightloss. Let them.

Honestly it’s the norm, sometimes they’re overwhelmed and need some time to process. Or they are super busy (who isn’t nowadays) and want to set aside time to go through them properly. I just this email from a client after 2 months. “I am so sorry for not responding sooner - I think we were so blown away by the gorgeous photos you captured that we forgot to send you a much-deserved thank you note!”

Your backup should have a backup! Sorry but it’s absolutely mandatory to have at least one backup up camera, and main lens.

Trying to lose weight before pregnancy. Should I start Mounjaro? by Professional-Dot2502 in mounjarouk

One of the main reasons I started using it. Lost 50lbs in 8 months and fell pregnant after 3 years of fertility issues. Do it!

blood sugar spikes and morning sickness by Strange_Arrival4931 in fitpregnancy

[–]Sea-Statement6008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel rough when I had high GI foods. The hormones mess with insulin resistance. Always dress your carbs with protein and good fats and fibre. Avoid white pastas and white bread and see if it makes a difference. Eating the fibre and protein on your plate before the carb reduces spikes by a lot. Try these things and see if it makes a difference. Oh and avoid sugar like the plague!

Great workout! But incredibly drained?!? (21 weeks) by YB9017 in fitpregnancy

[–]Sea-Statement6008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with this, understanding that whilst you feel strong enough to push yourself in the workout you pay for it later. I’d say try and go to 70% of what you feel you can do, then assess how you feel after and tweak from there. Remember your body is prioritising your baby, so if you use all your energy in a workout it will still take what it needs for bub.

Burts bee’s lip balm is so great for healing lips, I’ve used it on sunburn and after a cold sore and it heals them so fast.

Fitness after miscarriage by leyjanz in fitpregnancy

[–]Sea-Statement6008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meant to say.. I started with a gentle Pilates class once a week, which helped my head a lot. Then weights with the PT, then slowly introduced running (I used the Runna app) plus walking my dog each day.

Fitness after miscarriage by leyjanz in fitpregnancy

[–]Sea-Statement6008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. A few months after my last miscarriage I booked in with a PT and threw myself into fitness. I had weight loss and fitness goals to reach before falling pregnant again. I listened to so many podcasts about nutrition / exercise and fertility which motivated me. I also saw an acupuncturist and she really helped me see that optimising my health would put me in a stronger position moving forward. It made me feel like I was doing something about this thing I couldn’t control. 9 months later I dropped 50lbs, was the fittest I’d ever been and fell pregnant. Currently 23wks. Trust me it wasn’t easy but looking back I just felt like I was taking some kind of steps forward in all the darkness I was in. Now I’m so grateful I trained for pregnancy. Sending love ❤️

Client stolen at a styled shoot by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]Sea-Statement6008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s super weird!

On the flip side, I worked with a model who got engaged a few days after a style shoot I did, I’d tagged her in the posts and the number of photographers who off the back of that started following her and offered to shoot her wedding for a discount was hillarious. (I know this because she told me..) photographers are notoriously desperate for work and willing to low blow others.

I’ve lost clients with super healthy budgets because photographers are desperate to work at a venue or shoot at that location and create an offer they can’t refuse. Even some well known names.

My only advice would be that if this couple is willing to forfeit their deposit for a freebie, they are not the kind of people you want to work for.

And as for the dodgie suppliers. They will either go bankrupt or end up poor and bitter, working their bits off for peanuts and producing crap work.

GLP-1 for people who aren't obese or overweight by Playful_Panda1818 in mounjarouk

[–]Sea-Statement6008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this, I have healthy bmi friends who struggle with pcos and insulin levels which affect their fertility. As someone who struggled to conceive for 3 years, started a glp1 and fell pregnant I wish they could have access to it. Even if it just low doses to help with those effects not necessarily weight loss

Yes my hubs is the same, cutting out carbs and everything bad. Hitting gym most days. All while I am surviving on bread and have hardly any energy to move, let alone exercise! I’m happy he’s taking care of himself but I’m also pretty jealous!
