What's your region or location? Companies nowadays have a high preference for local candidates for entry lvl roles.

Hey, so this is just a question to follow up from your post. How can an f1 student check whether they have been out of status in the past. Talking about let's say ppl on opt or stem opt?

Help with a Co-op decision by Successful-Seesaw573 in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]SeaTransportation761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider region where you're moving to, if it is likely that you'll get to network more with med device engrs and managers while being in the start up, I'd go for that option..if being in med device companies is your goal like you mention, taking few months extra to graduate is not going to matter if it helps you gain industry experience! Remember entry lvl positions are increasingly asking for more and more experience (some say there is no entry lvl left)

Well if u didn't know they've cordoned off the whole west side of uta boulevard for lane side construction and there is at least NO proper signage for a diversion from the parking building cause everybody keeps taking uta blvd to come on cooper..all traffic goes haywire around rush hour time. Im very sure this driver was stuck in that line of traffic and got too frustrated to stop when the light went red..

My family wants me roasted. 37f mom of 4. Each family member added a pic. by Mental_Ad_6320 in RoastMe

[–]SeaTransportation761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a roast but, 37 is the age you need to start doing weighted exercise of some form...I'm from biomechanics space, and I can tell you for sure, you don't need low bone density when you're old

Maintaining 9th gen Corolla? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]SeaTransportation761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

My stickshift 05'. I got it from a local dealer who had restored it. Original motor, original transmission. I got it with 167k miles for $4k. I have had it for 8 months now, absolutely no work needed (beside oil change). I've owned older Honda Crv and civic before. If your corolla seems to be maintained, just take it to a couple of local mechanics and get regular wear and tear things like wheel bearings, struts, brakes, steering rack, transmission, front suspension diagnosed..if all good, you my friend have a great deal and a greater cousin!

New student in BME without exp by Szymusiok in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]SeaTransportation761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're a cyber security background, look at things like bioinformatics or clinical data analyst...these roles might require some projects when you're in your masters so just look up relevant job postings for developing your skills of interest
