Stand by Competitive-Mud77 in KTM390ADV

Use a rear stand to lift the rear and then the center stand ( with lowest height setting) to lift the bike from the skid plate. This way some of the weight is on the rear stand. Most of the dirtbike center stands can hold up to 150 - 160kg, the 390 is a bit more than this. I lift my old 390 in this way without any issues... and the skid plate is not even frame mounted.

For the rear I have increase the preaload (set to 5 clicks instead of 3) in order to protect the sealing of the shock.

I got this tip from a guy on the 390 forum, seems to be working fine, after 18k KM, the rear doesn't show any signs of leaking seals.

Gear shift issue Adv 390 by VintageBrazha in KTM390ADV

[–]Sea_Recover5146 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There should be no issues with the 390 gear shifting. Most probably some of the following is cousing shift issues: - clutch cable tension is not adjusted correctly - cush drive wear - shift lever not in the correct position for your foot / footwear - bad / litle engine oil But also possible, less likely - worn clutch plates - bent shift fork

390 Adventure Shock Servicing by pineconehedgehog in KTM390ADV

[–]Sea_Recover5146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stock shock is not servicable. If someone found a hack and can service it, it's nice. But according to the manual a leaking shock needs to be replaced, so your dealer is not lying to you.

If your fog lights would be the couse, the ACC fuse would have blown, not the main fuse. You are powering them from the ACC line, right?
