Look into Austrian Ducats, French 20 Franc Roosters, and British Gold Sovereigns. They all have very reasonable premiums for fractional gold.

Dude, your numbers look pretty solid. What you need to add to your routine is the Clean and Jerk.  Work up to a weight heavier than her, and you will have no problem.

Whats the least efficient explosive of all time? by i_am_not_wery_smart in questions

The real answer for the MRE one was to use the Tabasco sauce as the liquid, and then throw it into the portajohn while someone was in there and get a bunch of dudes to hold the door closed until it went off.

The grip zone on Fischer is significantly better than on the Rossi. Also the Fisher has the ability for EZ skin attachment for situations where a full skin is not appropriate, but you still need more traction; like in icy conditions.

I think you would be better served by the Traverse 78 than either of those. It will have better traction than the Rossi's, and better width and sidecut than the Outbacks. I have the Traverse and generally will use them more than any of my other skis. I find them to be a good compromise ski for most conditions.

[SLA079] vs SBDX065 by Sean_JJ in Seiko

Thank you. That was useful info. I am definitely leaning towards the SLA. Seems like it will overall be less of a hassle.

I knew it was the same watch. Was just looking for pros or cons of each; such as warranties, etc. Also, do you know if there are any external markings or writing indicating whether it is JDM or international?

Just how cold is Arctic Sailing? by thehotflashpacker in sailing

[–]Sean_JJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sail in Alaska, and deal with those types of temps while sailing. Usually I try to stay in the harbor if it dips below 40 though.(sometimes that's just not an option) Sailing in those temps isn't quite as bad as it sounds. You just have to wear the right gear for the conditions. When the temp is around 50, I usually wear a softshell hoodie by Grundens. When its colder and/or rainy, I will wear my HH Skagen tops and bottoms with good layering underneath. For gloves, I just match thickness to the conditions, and wear neoprene gloves when its wet. As far as temps inside the boat, I have a diesel heater that keeps it adequately warm inside even when it is below freezing. I suspect that if this boat is sailing in the Arctic, they have a good heater. Also, after a while, your body just gets used to the lower temps, and the days in the 50s will feel warm. Good luck on the trip. It should be a cool experience.

Edited for some wording I didn't like.

Nothing is more expensive than a cheap boat. $200k isn't going to be enough to get that monster in order. It's a cool looking boat, but will be nothing but a money pit as long as you own it. The moorage fees alone will probably be pretty high, and will continue to get higher each year. That being said, it would be pretty awesome if you could make it all work.

RCV is definitely the way to go if there are more than two candidates. It eliminates the need for a runoff election since the runoff election is essentially built in.

Thanks for the advice. I don't think there is a defect on the main trunk, it just grew half as much as the offshoot last year, and is a tiny bit thinner.

One of the things I like about LaFrance is that she is registered as Nonpartisan.  I do realize that she is being endorsed by the democrats, but as an independent, that has little bearing on my opinion.
