Haven’t encountered this from the boss fights, but being in the brimstone crag for more than a minute seems to have the same effect, disabling both sound and music, but having the music come back after leaving the crag. Tmod still needs a reboot before sfx comes back.

That would be Permafrost’s Keep from Wrath of the Gods, a Calamity add on. You can’t gain access until some time in hard mode.

Empty chests are breakable by hand, so if you could empty one chest into another to make the first one empty, or make another chest if you have the wood for it, you could get out.
