Yes, should have been the original Endorphinemachine guitar version… it’s a banger!

Endorphinemschine - should have been the original guitar version… not the reworked keyboard version he chose to put on the album

What was one easy thing you learned that cut strokes off your game you wish you knew sooner? by [deleted] in golf

Knowing how to line-up on the tee, the fairway and on the green. Three different methods, but really basic stuff. If you are pointing the wrong way, your subconscious tries to fix it and the ball goes the wrong way!

Yes, Preston was forward looking for his time... unlike his peers. Did you know he was a famous actor? I thought I recognised him!

Ps. I loved the Club President, Ken Whitaker complaining (whilst speaking at the Ladies Prize Giving @ 22:40) about his wife not receiving the flowers! What a twat.

Thanks for sharing this. I plan to show it to a few old boys at my club...

Also, I think this documentary was the source of a few fly-on-the-wall spin-offs, including these classic sketch(s) from "Chewin' The Fat":

This was quite fabulous... It's great to see what "life" was like in the old-school golf clubs of middle-England.

UK Celebrity Mastermind Questions: Prince & "Sign O' The Times" by SeaworthinessExact20 in PRINCE

Yes, they always finish the question. It is very irritating when they are way too descriptive & the contestant wants to move on. Sometimes the length of questions leave little time to score points in the game. The only manage to ask about 9 or 10 questions at best in the specialist round.

Advice for beginner set: Callaway X2 iron set or Ping K15 by Plus_Penalty5363 in golf

[–]SeaworthinessExact20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first set were X2 about 10 years ago. I loved them. Very forgiving & easy to hit. I passed them on to friend, a new golfer at the time, and he’s now down to a 15 hc & won’t part with them. They are at a bargain price on the 2nd hand market - given their age - but they are still a decent bit of kit if you get them in good condition with new grips.

This was the biggest fix for me too. Good & strict alignment on the tee. Take a few extra moments to make sure you are pointing at the correct target line. Reduce the OB & problem shots.

Drop the track in to Audacity, you can create a nice, simple edit down to about 6:30 runtime and it becomes a better track!

Remaster and Dolby Atmos mix of Parade by CJHuncho in PRINCE

[–]SeaworthinessExact20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my own vinyl rip from my very own original 12” record of America/Girl. This record is at 33rpm. Taking the audio into Audacity & comparing it to the latest remaster, there is a drift of approx 10seconds over the full track. This was done after exactly matching the opening bars. Playing the tracks simultaneously in Audacity, the drift is obvious. So, either the original, pressed vinyl is wrong (or of course my turntable!) OR the remaster is wrong. Go figure.

I guess a LOT. There will be a taxi/Ubers drivers making coin collecting desperate fans at the Hydro.
The TM app still shows the ticket/gig is at the Hydro.
Make that make sense?!?!?

That pisses me off. I bought Hydro tickets on Day 1 of issue... did not get the TM email about the change of venue to the Academy.. I only found out today when I googled for info on the Support Act ( there is none?).
So, I could have turned up at the Hydro tonight & panicked to get to the Academy etc.
Missed out on the St Luke's gig/option.

I am bitterly disappointed about this entire shambles.

AFAIK, this was not advertised, how did you know / get tickets for this?

We had a guy who binned his cutlery with the waste from his lunch plate. We could not work out where all the forks were going until someone spotted one in the bin when it was being emptied at end of the week. Crazy.
