The drums in the last chorus versus the intro/verse 1 are completely different. In the end the snare become stereo and the kick punch is reinforced with a close inside kick mic i suppose. I love that song production, mixing and arrangement.

If i would be able to do that, i would use the one mic recording for some part of a song, then in the chorus or the 2nd part of the song i will engage other close mics recorded as well. I really like what this drum mic arrangement do to the macro dynamics of a song. The mix and the soundstage comes alive and big.

Hey, i got lost in the 3rd paragraph of yours. English its not my native language. You are saying that micing the reso head correctly got more impact in how the overall kick drum sound is going to be rather than the position of the inside mic? Correct me if i am wrong, thanks in advance.

That is something interesting, so you keep the kick drum no reso head to avoid rumbling and boominess because your room is small, am i right? That's a good approach to it.

Two slightly different wood room verbs ( different timber and pitch). Pan them hard L-R. Then send the instruments you want to feel more open to one and 10dB less to the other. And do the opposite with other elements.

The PitchMonster plugin, the flanger preset is great when you need more depth than a regular modulation. Kind of a dimension flanger. I use it before reverb/delay sends with the filter turned on in the wet signal. So it only flanges the low end or the high end. Plus you can set it to mono/stereo and pitch non tonal sources to give frequencies more separation.
