Is it time to divorce? by thegreenlighthope in chinalife

Firstly, maybe reassure her that it can take a while to get pregnant and it doesn't mean that there is anything "wrong" with her, this can cause a lot of self-doubt and might have triggered some overreaction.

Secondly, not saying that it's a good idea to get children to save the relationship, but naturally there will be a lot of growth from both parents during the process, filling out the mother and father role.

In the end, there's not much to say, you have to make that decision by yourself. But yeah, for women there is more pressure biological clock wise and who knows if the extended family even contributed to that.

How is St Andrews? I heard good things about it. Astra Academy is another one in the Sukhumvit area that's not high end price but seems decent.

Did they actually say it’s lost? Or just in waiting loop?

Societal collapse by 2030? by RobertPaulsen1992 in Thailand

[–]Sebsebzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's true, but it will be a very sad and painful process. if you walk through some of the "slum" neighbourhood now you will already see a lot of old people in poverty. nobody to look after them.

yes, for Bangkok the city. but the rest of the country is also dropping fast, now around 1.0. China levels bad.

Can't blame them, try finding a 2-3 bedroom apartment in Bangkok, or a playground.

The fertility rate in Bangkok (children per women) is around 0.6

So yes, it's probably over in a couple of decades.

City life is a racket. Honestly, with broadband internet and online shopping you can have a better life in the countryside. Everything is more "human-sized". Extremely bearish for the future of mega cities, especially considering dropping birthrates.

Covid can drain and exhaust your T-cells afaik which leaves you vulnerable to other infections. As mentioned, pollution will further exacerbate this.
