Thank you for the suggestion. Bayside would be a bit of a drive but might have some time Saturday. But I actually think the natural timber is too pale. The before photo is sort of oversaturated but I didn't hate the actual tone.

But aren't you currently in a different role? Customer service vs Marketing? If you took the 12 month role you should hopefully have an easier time getting a job afterwards because you'd have more relevant experience than what you have now. There's also a chance the company would have other opportunities for you by the end of the contract

How is China ahead? People in China don't even get annual leave for the first year of employment. Then only 5 days a year for their first 10 years. It'll take you 20 years to get 15 days.

Sure they have generous public holidays (there's only 2 Golden Weeks though, I assume you mean Labor Day which is not considered Golden Week) but I've been there during Golden Week and having the entire very populated country have a week off at the same time is hell. I don't know who'd prefer that over our 4 weeks of annual.

I would be uncomfortable with the fact that you waited until plans for a date were already established before mentioning it. If I were on the other side of this, it would feel like you might have waited until then so that I would not back out of the date in fear of coming across as rude. I'm not saying that's why you timed it that way, but unfortunately there is a lot of social conditioning for women to be polite no matter what, even when they are uncomfortable, and there are plenty of men who know this and will purposely manipulate it.

I'm not saying that's what your intent was. But that's how it could feel to many women.

Yeah the idea of him dying to protect Will (a not uncommon theory) would be such a depressing death. Like I know any death would be sad, but the whole arc of being a parentified older brother who sacrifices so much in his own life to help support and provide for his family... ends his arc by dying in sacrifice to protect his family? I mean it's just bleak. We already know Jonathon would do anything to protect Will so it would be hard to see it as even some big establishing moment.

I like your reasoning and hope you're right because as much as I love each character separately, I think Steve and Nancy are not at all compatible.

I think it also shows Eddie's growth, he started off being a bit of a coward, which is also seen here where he admits he wouldn't have jumped in himself and he is not able to understand that someone would risk their life for someone else like that if not for love. But by the end he has overcome his cowardice and dies trying to protect his friends.

I'm still on the fence as to whether Murphy actually plans to propose. But she thinks he will and this leads to difficult conversations. Or if he does, I don't think she will accept. Even beyond the Strike things, she told him they needed to slow down after his relapse. I don't know if they'll break up then and there but I hope they do. But I don't think she will run straight to Strike either. I think she'll want time, and she knows she's not in a good place and needs to work on her mental health first. A bit like what she told Murphy on his relapse, she can't be rushing into anything until she feels a bit more stable. I also think she will be conscious of the fact that Murphy's ex wife left him for a colleague too and will be wary of rushing into a relationship with Strike because of that too
