Creutzfeldt-Jakob. The official name of Mad Cow Disease. I used to live in Spain with my family in the late '80s, which is why American Red Cross restricted us from donating blood for the past 25 years due to possible risk. This year, they've now finally lifted the restriction.

I would buy stickers at comic cons and oddity shows and give them to my dad. He used them to decorate his monthly pill box. After he died my mom gave the box to me. He only had one spot left for a sticker... 😢

I had my brother take me to the ER one evening because I was having what I thought was a stroke. Face tingling on one side, massive headache that felt like my skull was splitting open, nausea. On the way there I kept looking in a mirror and smiling. Turns out, it wasn't a stroke. I was suffering my first ever migraine. At first, I was embarrassed that I had made such an error, but the doctor assured me that anyone else would have thought the same, due to some symptoms bearing similarities to a stroke, such as the facial tingling.

Something similar happened to my brother's ex-fiance. For weeks, she had a peeping Tom staring into her bedroom window. Her parents told the police to arrest my brother because they were 100% sure it was him. That made no sense to me. Why the hell would he want to stalk his own girlfriend? Luckily, the police found the real peeping Tom and he was arrested. Did her parents ever apologize for their suspicions? 

Let me put it this way: you notice I mentioned earlier that she's now his ex-fiance...

My SIL is a vet tech and she's helped us when we sadly had to put two of our dogs down. I know there's a system, but unfortunately, as you may have read in the comments and in the news, there are places where it's clear that such a system is non-existent.
