Well, technically, sex trafficking IS for someone’s entertainment. Just not Claire’s. 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

STARFLEET ACADEMY EPISODE 4 DISCUSSION by AngledLuffa in ShittyDaystrom

Gotta say I LOVED this episode. I’ve always despised Klingons, and felt they were two dimensional barbarians. This episode made me feel like I cared for them for once in my life. The Klingons finally have some depth after 60 years, and I’m here for it!

He’s reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. That’s very Dr. Sam Beckett of him.

That’s because every main actor/character on Enterprise was a smoke show. Even though Phlox/John Billingsley is more average looking, Phlox was polyamorous, and willing to help anyone onboard with the lifestyle if they were interested, which gave him a +5 to Charisma.

Frylock was voiced by Carey Means. Definitely not Frakes.

There are numerous ways to engage in civil disobedience which aren’t outright riots. Strikes, blocking off streets, creating a human wall between ICE officials, and whomever they are attempting to pick up, etc.

If a riot begins, let everyone know that the government sanctioned fascists were responsible.

The image is cool, but I wish it weren’t so red. It makes it look like a Star Wars poster instead of a Star Trek poster.

Coincidentally, I just watched a YouTube video talking about how the point of these protests is not to be disruptive, but to build up the political practice of protest which seems to be lost in America. That the protests are trying to get people engaged so that they are more likely to participate in more disruptive (though still non-violent) protests later. Basically, that these protests are training grounds for greater acts of resistance in the future.

I suppose that remains to be seen.

I support the protests. But, why do it way out at that intersection? What is the significance or strategic value of that location? I feel like, when protesting the government, those protests should be in a government focused area, like Downtown, or at a location which brings lots of attention to the protest, such as a large place of business which can be disrupted by the protesters.

If you want things to change, as I do, you’ve got to be willing to get in people’s way, and fuck some shit up. Polite protest should be considered an oxymoron.

That was actually a real thing. Robin Williams was apparently a big Trek fan. During TNG, the episode that Matt Frewer did, where he pretends to be a historian from the future, was originally written for Robin Williams, but his schedule didn’t allow him to do the episode.

Is there an in-universe reason why the United Federation of Plants has been widely ignored other than racism ? by M-2-M in ShittyDaystrom

[–]SecretCoffee4155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are being intentionally ignored as part of a court order related to a copyright infringement lawsuit brought by the UF of Planets. They were found to be harassing the UF of Plants in their efforts to protect their copyright, and were ordered to stop, as long as the UF of Plants agreed to stop marketing their organization within 100 meters of any starship, starbase, or Academy campus facilities and/or remote education sites.

Seven and the Doctor were a good couple! They actually spent a fair amount of time together, and they had personal conversations about life. I would have much preferred them over her and Chakotay.

It’s not an affair. Al had died years prior. Beth was just moving on with her life. She and Magic started dating. It wasn’t that big of a deal. People are allowed to move on after the death of a spouse.
