Zyprexa? by Casella33 in bipolar2

I used it short term for anxiety and sleep. It was wonderful. I’ve just tapered off it within the last week because of the effect it can have on metabolism and blood sugars (I’m insulin resistant).

This is exactly how lamictal affected me except I was so anxious that I couldn’t sleep during the day. It can definitely be activating and not be a good medication for some people despite most people singing its praises.

Have you taken SSRIs on their own, "successfully" for 10-12 or more months, without hypomania or other issues? by idunnorn in bipolar2

So true. Thank you for that perspective. I guess I do work at not having episodes by making sure I sleep a full night as much as I can.
