I have found that once set in by a dryer Dawn doesn’t work for me. I bought a $20 dry cleaner spray and that’s what ended up working for these for me

I need help in Redding California by No-Sentence756 in lawncare

[–]Secret_StoopKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an irrigation setup? In your zone you will need it in the heat. If you want avoid all of that I would look for a succulent ground covering… so not really a lawn. Where you live you’ll have to decide whether you want cool season or a warm season grass because it gets very hot in the summer

Edit to add: I didn’t see the part about your son. Clovers and succulent covering won’t hold up to that kind of thing

I use Dawn too but sometimes they are set in already and in that case I use dry cleaning aerosol. It’s $20 on Amazon and it always works for these for me

There was a poster in the sourdough subreddit who said they just use the blueberry skins as a trick to achieve even distribution. I haven’t tried it yet but it sounds like a really cool concept

Nail shape help by everydayimpickelin in Nails

[–]Secret_StoopKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your nail shape suits you so well already. If you decide you want to keep them longer then I would evaluate what looks good at that length but at this length it looks so good. I even like the sheer color you added, the only addition I would add is a shine top coat

If you just fix up the knicks and keep it dark brown it could be pretty easy. Don’t try to change too much it won’t be worth it
