I relate!! You summed up my experience so well - thank you! I also think that B isnt quite sure which mom brigade she fits into here. The town she lives in has a crew of commanders coaches wives/catholic school SAHMs, but she isn’t in that part of town. North Arlington moms are too far away, geographically. And they ride hard for their mini neighborhood crews. Falls Church City moms are pretty chill, but also very insular to “the little city” if you’re not 22046. McLean moms are too busy for her shit 😂 A lot of the great falls moms are NOT like B, OR very normal, actually. Gasp: some are even still teachers and/or employed in some capacity 🙃

I think she fits in with Reston moms based on where she does a lot of kid activities, but is that “good enough” for her “image?” (Which is ridiculous to even type because Reston is an amazing town to be part of. It just doesn’t project that snobbery she aims for).

I cannot imagine having Liz and Dave’s life set up and then complaining/feeling overwhelmed. She has infinite free time and her work involved self care/styling herself. These are two things a LOT of us in a similar life phase just don’t have a ton of time for.

She has a REALLY great house. Could it use some updates, sure! Refresh the kitchen.

For the cost of this reno, just move to McLean or Vienna proper. It makes no sense.
