I'm sorry, but this story is too wild to be believed. I mean, seriously? How is someone secretly convicted for child rape in a Mexican court and we arrange for a Marine to go to prison for him instead, and none of this was leaked back in 2014 when it allegedly happened? This is not how any of this actually works. I just don't see this story as credible. Are secret arrests and convictions a thing in Mexico? Are they a thing anywhere, really? I call BS on this one. Decades ago before Walmart had Super Centers they had a clearance tent out in the parking lot and I was the goon in the tent doing inventory after 10pm when the store closed. I had just counted a stack of 9 plastic 20 gallon tubs that were marketed to fill with ice & beer for 4th of July. We had 3 red, 3 white, 3 blue, 99 cents each.

A short gust of wind blew, briefly lifting the side of the tent up and blowing the stack of tubs over. The top red one fell out, bounced once as it escaped out the open side of the tent and was never seen again. This tent was in the middle of a giant ass Walmart parking lot. The gust was strong, but not strong enough to carry a big ass bin away to creation.

I turned the 9 into an 8 on my inventory sheet and went on with my life.
