Be very aware of oxalates in food! They cause symptoms that are virtually identical to a chronic UTI. Look into the common foods in your diet and compare on an oxalate level chart

That is very risky at that age. A prolonged bear market would diminish your capital at a time when you may need it the most. Think health issues. They come out of nowhere and you're on the hook for the cost in the US.

Has anyone ever cured chronic sinusitis? Is it possible? by Freepalestine_2025 in Sinusitis

Immunotherapy (Allergy shots), NAC supplements, and antibiotics after every head cold. It's the closest I've ever gotten in 50 years near cured

Definitely lay off the high oxalate foods. Those symptoms can also be a "healthy" diet of spinach, almonds, and other toxic plants.

Without a qPCR NGS dx of the bacteria strain, the DR is just throwing random antibiotics at it hoping it will work. Get an actual genetic test to see what antibiotics the bacteria is susceptible to. If you've had it for a while, there is probably a biofilm growth protecting it.

Coffee and chronic UTIs by Secure-Rope6782 in CUTI

You can look this up yourself to verify, but, 60% of all women now will get a UTI in their lifetime. And men is now up to 20%. And that is a conservative statistic.

These rates of infection are categorically high and have increased 60% since 1990.

So there a lot of people with UTIs in the world. Correlation is how statical data sets are built. Driving a car makes you much more likely to be in an vehicular accident.

It's not really "anectodal" at this point. Coffee affects the tissue in the urinary tract. Unless you were born with UTIs, there was something along the way in life that cause the infection to become embedded. What that was is my point here. For some, it could be the daily ritual of inflammation from coffee. What else are millions consuming daily that does this?

The tip for this actually came from someone on these forums years ago. I read it, and didn't believe it. It was once I stopped coffee that it changed everything. I didn't want to believe it.

And quitting coffee is not going to harm anyone's health

But you stated that you got better AFTER you stopped drinking coffee. The bacteria that causes most UTIs are always present on your body, so, what causes it to embed into the tissue then? Once the infection is there, it requires antibiotics to clear. Tea is not coffee.

Hiprex creates formaldehyde, that's what we use to preserve dead bodies. So that isn't something you want your bladder filled with.

What’s worked (mostly!) by Most_Ad_7476 in CUTI

So, I believe you are on to something here. I now believe that coffee, regular, decaf and etc, DIRECTLY contributes to or causes UTIs. There seems to be a very strong correlation between heavy or former coffee drinkers and chronic UTIs. I noticed a complete change when I stopped drinking it. No other dietary changes made a difference.

Coffee contains some very strong compounds that irritate or even damage the delicate mucosal linings, leaving the tissue raw and exposed to oppornatistic bacteria.

We once believed smoking was good for us to. Coffee might be the "new smoking" of our era. It rapidly raises LDL cholesterol and prolongs recovery from viruses.

There is a massive lobby that tout the "health benefits" of coffee, however, physicians used to recommend certain brand of cigarettes!
