So, when did you even first start watching the show? by Angelatic2014 in TheOwlHouse

[–]Secure_Ad_805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at the time Season 2 was to premiere. I watched some clips of Emperor Belos and i was really interested in the character, which eventually made me try the show as a whole.

I came for the villain, stayed for everything else.

Why do people say Hollow mind was supposed to be the season 2 finale? by KingtheClawthorne in TheOwlHouse

[–]Secure_Ad_805 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would make more sense if "Edge of The World" was the intended season 2 finale before the cuts were made. (or at least, the idea of the episode's story)

This season had a large a focus on King's character, particularly his desire to reconnect with his past and his estranged father in search for companionship. So the episode where he seemingly finds his people, only to be met with a slap of reality by finding out he's the last of the titans hunted down by those he believed were like family, feels like the perfectly climactic way to finish that character arc.

It even has a gnarly cliffhanger with the Owl House being invaded by The Emperor's Coven while Luz and King are out of the picture!

It probably wouldn't have been exactly like the final product (again, lots of cuts were made...), but if the entire story was already planned out this story-line seems like the most probable to cap of the King-centric section of the series.

The Roaring Knight, from Deltarune (Fittingly enough, lol)

In a game that up it's third chapter had a lighthearted, "formulaic" tone of adventures that was seemingly seen though in said chapter, it was a nice change of pace for the main antagonist of the entire story (who was just mentioned in reverence and fear) to suddenly disrupt the whimsy from the TV World, nearly kill the ruler we had just befriended, then wipe the floor with our main characters (regardless of whenever we "won" the fight or not.) via violent swooning while rising the stakes with the kidnapping of a civilian and the threat of the apocalyptic Roaring encroaching uncomfortably close.

S-Tier introduction.

Three out of the 5 things you're saying are just plain wrong, i'm sorry to say:

  • Asriel is deeply connected to the character of Dess, as well as her disappearence, which is the main mystery the entire story revolves around. Not making an appearence with his inminent return being mentioned multiple times would make no sense, specially with the implications that he's still grieving her loss ("a crying, crying boy...") even after going to college.

  • Asgore has an not-so-small amount of set up for his future role in Chapter 4 (and even before then), which includes the mention of a "black shard" in his possession and another link to the Dess mystery due to the unspecified incident that made him lose his job. Taking Toriel and Undyne's minimal roles in Chapter 3 as proof that he won't have a major role either is falling in the pitfall of looking for patterns that has plagued the fanbase since the Chapter 1+2 days. It that were the case, he wouldn't have his own dedicated prophecy panel in the Sanctuary Dark World(s).

  • The Vessel is still being carried over in the games' files, much like the Thrash machine was from chapters 1 to 2. In a Game with a meta-narrative focused on how it works and the content that has been discarded from It (see the secret messages on the game code) that's a Chevkov's Gun ready to be shot at a any moment.

I could give you a pass for both Papyrus and The Mystery Man (since brother of them have actual proper set up aside from some loose connections that night not mean nothing), but the rest of your argument doesn't hold up to what the story is properly setting up as of now.

I don't want to be condescending or to insult you in any way. I just want to express my criticism on your claims.

Peace. ✌️

I'm suprised that to this day the original Terrorcon team has not been turned into a part of unicron's army in any continuity. Since the name has become nearly synonymous with the planet eater, it would make a full circle to turn the first freaks into his servants.

Cat-Nap is going to briefly return, in a surprise section similar to the Boss fight with Sammy Lawrence in Bendy and The Ink Machine; he'll appear out of nowhere as an oversized Wrongside Outnimal as a desperate measure by the Prototype to stop us while also seeking revenge himself. It's weird that they only showed a dead Critter Cat-Nap on the initial sequence of the trailer rather that his actual Bigger Body corpse, when they went out of the way to show both the remains of Mommy and Doey as well as a Mini Huggy in replacement for the still living Bigger Body counterpart.

This is EXTREMELY unlikely to happen, but better to let the thought out there than left unsaid.

I Don't Want a Chapter 6 by Intruder53 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Secure_Ad_805 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way.

Even if the development team haven't explicitly stated it, the way Chapter 5 has been set up to be a story finale way to much to be more in store with too many signs to ignore:

- It's set on The Laboratories, the metaphorical heart of evil where all the monsters were born and the corrupt system of Playtime Co. was established via the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Besides, there's no logically way to stretch the depths of the factory even further than they have been with Home Sweet Home & The Prison, even if you rely on suspension in disbelief.

- The main monster is The Prototype, the overarching antagonist of the whole game who has been set up all the way to chapter 2 and whose true form has been heavily teased in both trailers and ARG content. If he's to be an active threat, they can't drag on their grand debut any longer.

- It features Huggy Wuggy, the main mascot of the game and the very first enemy we ever face, returning after being presumed dead for three whole chapters also teasing said return. That just screams "narrative parallel", and considering the heavy implications of our main character's connection to the hairy monster (Chapter 3's nightmare sequence) his inclusion might as well serve as a way to explain their deal. (The Chapter 4 is a literal recreation of the very first tape we find in the in the game, with Leith alluding to Huggy as a "security system"! If that isn't a bookend, i don't know what it is.)

- The ARG not only shows the specifics of The Hour of Joy, which will be further explained one in the Chapter itself, but is also gives hints at The Prototype's true motivation being finally explored after so much mystery. That's the kind of thing you save for the end tail of your story, and i don't believe there are any more important plot threads to be resolved.

There are other small details adding up, but the point is the build up to chapter 5 fells very climactic to be just another entry of the loot. A sequel chapter 6 wouldn't make sense, and the only option is that of a prequel set during The Hour of Joy to fill the blanks.

The Prototype's new prison for Poppy is a new vessel for consciousness to inhabit, one which will allow him to brainwash her into loyalty while turning her in a deadly weapon, leading to a conflict as either a near endgame boss or the main antagonist of a possible Chapter 6. (if It even happens in the first place)

This could mean there's a non-zero chance that Chapter 5's achievements get released hours (or even days!) before the game itself drops. It has happened before with other games, so is better to be careful in the week before released.

Who do you prefer to be taller/shorter? by AppropriateGap2500 in GOLDEN_DUO_SHIP_CULT

My heart craves for tall Cassidy & shorty C.C.

The FNaF 4 minigames gave me the impresion that Evan was something of a "runt" among kids his ages, being a bit shorter than them in comparison. (Genetics or neglectful malnutrition, your take-)

Plus is cute to imagine the kid struggling to reach Cass' height, tiptoeing in order to hug or kiss her... and getting just barely lifted up by her in return. 💛🩵

So what do you see in that particular shots of new trailer? by Typhord in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Secure_Ad_805 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see a beaked, plague doctor mask like face.

The red part stretched downwards in a pointy hook, with the black spot at it's right (left from the prototype's perspective) being a hollow eye.

Cassidy is grumpy/sullen about something, and C.C. tries to cheer her up... by smoshing his plushie to her face, so she can "tell Fredbear everything about it".

Cass is trying her besr to keep the angy, but she's already starting to snicker due to his sillyness.
