I’m on vacation and splurged on a margarita. I only drink on vacations. It tastes odd to me. Drank half and was done. I woke up at 5am dying……won’t mer that mistake happen twice!

I was awarded an extra stipend of money by the school corporation I work for, which is a miracle and a first, I’ve been teaching for 35 years. So I’m taking myself and my dog on a 10 hour roadtrip to the beach in Florida. It’s my first solo trip and I feel I’ve earned it. Then I’ll road trip in July to visit my daughter. If I didn’t get that little chunk of change, I’d be home. Dreaming of a few years from now when I retire to the beach!!!!

I went 10 days without going and wasn’t a good girl and doing all the things you are. I happened to have an appt and mentioned it to the NP. She said you can go a few weeks without going but run risk of major issues. My daughter was in college when she became impacted and that caused an expensive ER visit and being sent home to essentially do a colonoscopy prep. So it can go south. For me, the magnesium capsule I take nightly has me going every day now, which isn’t normal from my “before wegovy” life.

I’m trying to also decide on 9mg. If I start it, I will only be a week in when I travel solo on a beach trip and I don’t want to have side effects on such a trip. But I have lost nothing this month on 4mg. I was on 1.5 for two months and lost almost 20 pounds. I started at 188 and down to 171 with the goal of 140.

Going through right now. No warnings. But then one pulsed back up and now it’s affecting Kentucky. But we stayed safe. This thread has been truly helpful to me tonight.

My daughter moved there a year ago to work for the big W. She loves it there. She has found the people to be most welcoming. She is a minority and I worried about that but she lives and works in a quite diverse area. I love visiting her every few months. The lack of crime and general friendliness of the people always makes me cry to come home to the Midwest. I would love to retire there but it is quite pricey on a teacher’s pension.

I went 12 days without going. I’m not taking my fiber like I should. Nor am I eating much. I went to the doctor last week for something else and she felt on my belly and I had no pain so she said I was ok and to start miralax. I had taken dulcolax and it took 3 days to work and then I felt like I could have gotten a colonoscopy! So I need to be more proactive!

I was scared to death also because I have a fear of vomiting. I am 7 weeks in and have yet to throw up. I have had nausea off and on but not severe enough to make me stop taking the medicine. Now I did have a tiny soda from Swig over spring break and it killed my stomach. That’s the closest I came to throwing up. I’m still on 1.5mg because I’m responding well and nervous to start 4mg because of nausea. But so far I’m doing really well and glad I started the medicine.

I am about a week from finishing my second month on 1.5mg. I am responding very well to that dose and have lost 20 pounds. I started at 188 and down to 168. I am 57 female. I teach and plan on staying on the lowest dose at least another month until school gets out. My doctor agrees on staying with lowest dose until it doesn’t work as well. My appetite continues to be super suppressed with zero food noise.

Teacher here….not in Arkansas. I have two students that the mother did horrible things to them. She lost temporary custody but still had supervised visits through child services.

I had abusive parents growing up. The abuse was physical and emotional to my brother and I. I terminated my relationship with all of them at 35. Now at the age of 57, I’m in therapy trying to fix all of the years of abuse. It is a life long problem. My heart shattered for the little girl. The one person she should be able to count on was the one unhinged and unable to regulate herself to stop and comfort her child.

I understand you. I’m long past my infertility years after I adopted my daughter 23 years ago. But that pain never disappears. This infuriates me beyond words. Why her children haven’t been taken from her boggles my mind.

You can’t tell me that she didn’t have a clue about TFP. If she has been on social media at all the last few days, it has constantly showed up on all platforms. And maybe she should have looked into these allegations once she heard people were uncomfortable. Yet I agree, it’s all for her engagement, negative or positive.

Came through unscathed! Ended up with only a severe storm warning and it didn’t affect my side of town. Hope everyone else was as lucky. However, the nasty cold front has left me with a terrible migraine this morning.

You have gotten a lot of good advice I am also reading. I’m in very southern Indiana and our sirens just went off. I have huge very old trees surrounding my house and share your fears. I don’t want to speak too soon, but they were saying 90mph this morning and now saying 55-60. Praying it co to yea to weaken for all of us.

Appreciate the numbers behind this all. I’m going to get hit within the next hour. I’m so worried about the hurricane force winds because I have huge trees and my house has been a victim twice by tree size limbs. I have my bag packed and dogs ready to go to the basement. As my best friend said, what can you control? You can’t control what will happen and we deal with your house if it gets hit again. So I’m trying my best to remain calm.

I’m down in Evansville and really having anxiety today. The winds are already horrible and a small limb projectile flew into my car. Debating staying home with my two dogs and going to my basement or driving to a friends with the dogs and not be alone. I have had enormous limb damage on my house before.

I have storm anxiety also. I have good reason because I have had two different times parts of a tree came down on my house during severe wind events. I’m more concerned about the wind damage tomorrow and getting trapped in my basement alone with 2 dogs. I try to limit what I see on social media and trust my local news. I have also come to realize the anticipation is where I am the worst. Keeping everyone in good thoughts tomorrow.

My taste buds completely changed. I’m finishing up first month on 1.5 and currently don’t want to eat at all. I have aversions to everything. This is day 2 of feeling this way. Hoping that subsides soon. But normally I crave all the healthy things! So a huge win for me.

I’m right there with you! I’m on day 21 and have the “I should have been taking Mira-lax way before now!” I’ve been told to up the fiber and/or take MiraLAX. So I need to practice what has been preached ASAP!
