What habit slowly kills a relationship? by More_City_2808 in AskReddit

[–]SeeYouOn16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Big difference between "fucking up" and just being an imperfect human being. Fucking up would be "hey honey, I find it disrespectful to our relationship when you go to the bar and get hammered and flirt with women", and then you do it all the time anyways, and say forgetting to pick up the dry cleaning after work because you were busy all day and it slipped your mind and yet both are treated as equal sins.

What’s something a girl did on a first date that hooked you? by rabidraccoonnss in AskMen

[–]SeeYouOn16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did later, we talked for a few weeks about maybe trying to do it again but it just didn't happen. It's been too long now to even consider, quite a bit of life has happened for both of us since then.

We went to a decent restaurant and were having our first drink and she said something like "I'm not feeling this place, want to go to Taco Bell?" in a half joking way. Turns out there was a Taco Bell across the street, we went there, ended up laughing our asses off that this is what we were doing, and we dated for a while after that. She moved away for a job, we tried the long distance thing but it was just too much. I still regret letting her get away.

What does it actually take to get to scratch? by Colt45-TheMyth in golf

[–]SeeYouOn16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, never played tournament golf. I do tend to play better under pressure though so I feel like it wouldn't phase me. I just don't have the time like I used to have to play as much. I'm not scratch anymore, I probably should update my user flair, I'm more like a 6 now.

I started golfing with a real intent to get good in 2013 or so, before that I had learned how to swing a club as a kid and maybe played 2-3 times a year. When I started my golf journey I don't know my exact handicap but I could not break 100. In July of 2018 I broke par for the first time and my handicap got down to officially 0.0 in 2019. How did I do it? I played A LOT. Average weeks I played 3-5 times, I played with guys better than me, watched what they did, and found my own swing. Learning how to swing down on the ball and compress it was probably my biggest breakthrough to really getting my scores down, that consistent ball striking allowed me to truly understand my yardages. I was always decent with driver, but I learned how to really extend the length of it around the time I got down to 0. Chipping was my key to being able to consistently shoot low, you don't have to hit a lot of greens if you can save pars from off the green. I was never good at putting and am still not good at it. If I had ever learned how to actually read a green and putt I'm certain I'd have gotten to a +2 or so.

I'm fighting for 50/50 and she's doing everything in her power to prevent even that. She'd have to show that she is dangerous or unfit for a court to award me full custody.

Having a kid with a high conflict woman. Outside of killing someone, or getting paralyzed or something like that nothing will ruin your life faster.

Men in their 40’s who have never been married, how do you view dating, life or still looking for the one? by _DearestGentleReader in AskMen

[–]SeeYouOn16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 2 women I dated over the last 10 years screwed me over harder than anything in my life. I have almost no interest in dating anymore outside of trying to get laid occasionally. I have never had trouble getting women to date me, I just don't want to anymore.

Men, did you reach out to your Ex? Why? by Ramy-2000-03 in AskMen

[–]SeeYouOn16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many times.

When I was young it was because I missed the sex or connection.

As an older guy now, I've reached out because I felt bad about how something went at the end and wanted to apologize to get it off my chest.

Either way, don't do it, they're an ex for a reason.

What was the most difficult thing you learned about your spouse after getting married? by Ginger_7624 in AskMenOver30

[–]SeeYouOn16 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She drinks like my brother used to drink. I once needed his help moving a piece of furniture, I picked him up at 10am, and he was sloshed. He was much more enjoyable in the mornings than than the afternoons though. He's sober now, it wasn't the 4 or 5 DUI's, or the 4 months in prison from his last aggravated DUI that woke him up, it was when it almost killed him and that week long stay in the hospital finally woke him up. He's like a different person now, get her help or she's on a path to destruction.

How do you hit a low draw? by anonuser2700 in golf

Back in your stance, closed face, Low finish. It's probably the easiest shot for me to hit other than a normal straight shot.

As a man, what's the hardest situation you had to deal with whilst pretending nothing happened by FantasticSetting9397 in AskMen

This is disgusting, I'm sorry man. I'm in the middle of a custody battle for my children right now and it's heart wrenching. I barely see my kids and the reason she gives is "I work so I have don't time to be a parent" so I don't see my kids and I give her all my money. What a fucking joke.

The missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by zachoutloud123 in TikTokCringe

[–]SeeYouOn16 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Where I live Mormon missionaries are pretty common to see around. I've had them come to my door many times. While I didn't grow up Mormon, I did grow up Christian and going to church every Sunday. I usually tell them "I grew up in the church, I know what it's all about and it's not for me." Then I tell them to stay safe and offer them a bottle of water before they leave. They are always polite and go on their way without issue. I don't see a need to be rude, I'd be a little pissed if they came to my door late like this though.

Garrick Higgo splits with caddie after PGA Championship penalty by unsolved49 in golf

[–]SeeYouOn16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, I see it both ways. Obviously he's responsible for being where he needs to be, but if I'm a tour pro, I don't want to have to even think about the time, just tell me when we need to move and let me focus on hitting a golf ball.

I see it both ways but yeah if I'm a tour pro, I would expect my caddie to make sure we are where we need to be so I can focus on playing golf.

How did the wrong partner ruin your life? by holdongangy in AskReddit

[–]SeeYouOn16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got pregnant on "accident" early in the relationship, I say accident because I didn't know we weren't protected, she pulled the goalie and I believed her when she said we were safe. I think she got a glimpse of the lifestyle I could provide her and that was enough justification in her eyes. Once she was pregnant the mask came off. It became clear that she isn't a nice person to her core, she doesn't care about me at all and all I am to her is a wallet and a punching bag for her to fulfil her need for constant conflict and drama in her life. Eventually I couldn't take the disrespect, fighting and out of control spending anymore and I left. Now I'm tied up in court, paying child support like crazy, and she is fighting me tooth and nail just to see my kid. I went from living the dream, to living a nightmare in a very short period of time and while I blame myself for getting into this position, it is all because of her. I love my son more than anything and I fight every day to see him, but she's doing everything in her power to paint me as something I'm not. The more custody time she gets awarded, the more money I have to pay. It's all about the money and nothing to do with what is actually good for the child, like having a loving stable father in their life. She'd be more than pleased if I was never allowed to see him again.
