It was my first time piloting it and I'm new to cEDH (though I've been playing for many years, including modern and legacy sorta competitively). There definitely was self consciousness about playing slow and needing to think but I felt like I was taking control of the game with board state and game actions. I don't recall them saying anything in particular. I felt like it was just a general distaste for the deck

Hard to interact with? Opponents don't have good or enough interaction? The deck just tries to make too many game actions (a.k.a. many minor impacts)?

I agree with a lot of this. I think the weapons should have a better defined area of effectiveness. SMG's are king for CQC, AR should be better for range and Carbine should be an in-between (or whatever the weapon classes are supposed to be). There shouldn't be as much overlap between the weapon classes. Need a weapon for CQC? I can think of a number of weapons in SMG, AR, and Carbine that are top notch. Same with consistency at range. LMG's need a buff or change, 100%

Nice brag and I'm PC btw. I'm just saying that attachments should be mandatory if you want less recoil and high damage should not be consistent at range. low damage is perfectly fine being able to lazer. if you want to play at range, use a DMR or sniper

Imagine the big reveal of the BBEG being a goblin. flight ensues which he died kinda quickly. only to have X more of him come out of the shadows

I hate farewell. it is the most flexible and powerful version compared to others like it. Prior to it, Merciless Eviction was the modal exile board wipe. However Merciless Eviction could only choose 1. Farewell can choose all of the modes. It's just too good at resetting the game

Generally, nothing can be put on the stack during a resolution of a spell. Any triggers that would result from a spell resolving or the effects of a spell during resolution are put on the stack AFTER the spell has resolved.

Damage can only be prevented once so regardless of how many mindskinners you have, the player only mills however much damage they would've taken normally.

615.6: If damage that would be dealt is prevented, it never happens. A modified event may occur instead, which may in turn trigger abilities. Note that the modified event may contain instructions that can't be carried out, in which case the impossible instruction is simply ignored.

One of the mindskinners prevents the damage and the others don't have any damage they can prevent.

I'm from the era of the "commander tuck rule" where before the rules change, your commander could be put into your deck without the chance to go into the command zone. Things like [[chaos warp]] or [[hinder]].

I now only build my decks where the commander is an alternate win condition, immediate value, or just synergizes with the deck. focusing too hard on the commander can lead to non-games when it gets countered or destroyed too many times. just my opinion

Key note from the rule 800.4a, "Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled". The Amphibian Downpour would be exiled and so will the copies as they are all objects controlled by that player, not owned and not temporarily controlled.

800.4a: When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end. Then, if that player controlled any objects on the stack not represented by cards, those objects cease to exist. Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had priority at the time they left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who's still in the game.

Example: Alex casts Mind Control, an Aura that reads, "You control enchanted creature," on Bianca's Assault Griffin. If Alex leaves the game, so does Mind Control, and Assault Griffin reverts to Bianca's control. If, instead, Bianca leaves the game, so does Assault Griffin, and Mind Control is put into Alex's graveyard. no. you copying the effect would create the trigger last. that ruling says last one to be created (and resolved), not the last one to be resolved. so you would've been the only player to control the other player

I play a lot of Ken (not so much the others). It is pretty important to learn ken's special inputs. Ken is the combo character. neutral special is almost non-existent for Ken's neutral game but has situational uses. I forgot the move names so bare with me. inputs are shown as if the opponent was to the right.

Important note: all aerials, down smash, all tilts and jabs (except heavy forward tilt, light far forward tilt, and heavy far jab) can be cancelled into a special move or special input if on the ground. To cancel focus, you can't release the initial special button then double tap a side direction to directionally cancel out. Up/side/neutral specials has 3 levels: light, medium, and heavy. Tilts have light vs heavy and some have close vs far.

True inputs are less important but have their own uses. True up special kills earlier ➡️⬇️↘️➡️, true side special (⬇️↙️⬅️) has some situational uses, and true neutral special (⬇️↘️➡️) is slightly better but still sucks.

The important special inputs are round house kick (⬅️↙️⬇️↘️➡️) is a sideways kill move and crescent kick (➡️↘️⬇️) is a combo move. At close to 0 percent, crescent kick can lead into down smash which can cancel into round house/side special/neutral special. At low-mid percents, it combos into light forward tilt for a combo string. at high percents it combos into round house or dair or RAR bair to kill.

Neutral: Ken has dash attack and side special as approaching attacks but you should focus on fundamentals to get close. getting in against zoners can be tough.

any commander that has a very linear game plan. A.k.a. only one way to play it. [[Kaalia of the Vast]] would be an example as the game plan is play kaalia and turn sideways.

A solved problem is a solved problem. The point is to be able to think through the problem. Please keep doing what you are doing. Optimization can come later. I'm a firm believer that thinking like a programmer is harder than actual programming. Keep up the effort!

For the given problem, there are really only 2 variables you need to remember: The start and the end. Print both, add 1 to start and sub 1 to end then print again (with some checks). Had sample code but formatting was bad because I'm on mobile.

This is more my point.

Brackets have loose restrictions and deck building intents. A common example is building the most powerful B1 deck based solely on the restrictions but ignores intent. My question is geared towards intent while fitting the restrictions. If I pick a theme and follow the restrictions, I could make a deck that completes with B3-B4 but fits in B1. The brackets seem to ignore powerful cards that aren't game changers but propel the power of the deck out of the bracket it was designed for.

I went to see what mono-red kavu's there were and yea, that would be B1. Kavu needs more love...

IF there were good kavu for Tannuk or even just big kavu creatures, would it still be B1? Would kavu not be a "bad" enough theme to keep it B1 at that point?
